[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: poster board. This is, yes. It has driven us a little bit mad, a little up the wall. A

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_00]: little bit mad. More than a little mad, thoroughly mad. We started out investigating Star Wars

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Episode I The Phantom Menace, trying to figure out what that movie was about. Yeah. After

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: about two and a half months of work on that, we moved on to Attack The Clones, episode

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_00]: two. Tried to figure out if that was a good sequel. Right, I guess so. It's not. It's not.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: That was easier to figure out. Very easy. We figured that out pretty much minute one

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: of the first episodes. No. We went on to a third mini series podcast, Revenge Of The

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Podcast, what you're listening to right now, trying to figure out what was this larger

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: story? Three films. Right, right. Classical story structure. Three films. You completed

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_00]: your saga. The trilogy. What was trying to be said. And the through line amongst

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_00]: all these was, we weren't just looking at the text. We weren't just looking at the material.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_00]: We were trying to figure out what the intention was of the filmmaker behind these works. Wow.

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: A director, a writer. If only we could get him in studio. Self-finance. Now, David's

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_00]: being a little cheeky here. I'm being cheeky. Because a couple months ago. Doing a bit.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Creator of two massive franchises, Indiana Jones and the Phantom Menace.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: journalistic opportunity but we have to ask about the little sidebar.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_00]: What kind of music do you listen to?

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean that question was answered in cinemas this year.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_01]: You went and saw the motion picture Strange Magic?

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I did see that.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: The inspiration for sort of the rethinking of that movie was that I had over 200 songs on my iPod.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_00]: 200 on a device that holds 1000.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean the first iteration was 1000. The bragging right that was 15 years ago.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Let me see how many.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_00]: 15 years ago, the first iteration it was a breakthrough that it could hold 1000.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you how many I had.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_01]: You'll hear some of the examples on the Strange Magic soundtrack versions of

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_01]: we were looking at the script at a certain point when it was still a story form, treatment form.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And for those listeners who don't know Strange Magic was an animated film that was released

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_00]: this January.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_01]: A Broke Records, Broke Box Office Records earlier.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It was the lowest per screen, no it was the lowest grossing animated film to be released on 3000 screens.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So you beat Delgo.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because Delgo was only released on like 1800s screen.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Delgo didn't go as wide.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_01]: All I know is it broke box office records and that's true.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_00]: It was a banner year for American cinema.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what else came out.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of stuff.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: But so you're saying just on the basis of Phantom Mass alone it was a great year for me.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I know Toy Story 2, my favorite movie of all time came in that year.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Or you didn't found it but you owned it for a while.

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_00]: You after a couple years sell the company because it is losing money and you don't see a reality

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_00]: which will ever turn a profit.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah I gotta say that article barely tracked for me though it didn't even make sense.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't process some of the references they were throwing out.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: No I'm not saying I disagree.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I just gave a lot of money to education I'm so sorry I had trouble reading.
