Merchandise - The Phantom Podcast

Toys. Kids love them. And so do Griffin and David.

This movie’s entire production was funded by the sale of exclusive rights to the merchandising. And manufacturer Hasbro, pulled out all the stops including introducing technology that allowed the products to “talk like never before,” capturing some of the most exciting moments in toy form like a seated Jabba the Hutt watching the pod race along with color commentators Fode and Beeb, and a product (made for children) that allows someone to suck on Jar Jar Bink’s candy tongue.

So join your hosts to find out whats in Watto’s box, does Griffin buy something on Ebay he will regret and a look back at their younger selves to REMEMBER THE TOYS.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Hello and welcome to the Phantom Podcast. Hi there, I'm Griffin. I'm David. Welcome. Thank you for being here episode

[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_01]: E. Episode 8 Episode 8 Episode 8 Episode V. I. I. I. I. Oh, it's just so far in the future. Yes

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: This of course is the podcast where we talk about Star Wars episode one. Yeah, well the Star Wars movie the Phantom Manage

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: The Phantom Manage. It was the one Star Wars movie made

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes I just call it Star Wars, you know, just for brevity's short. Well, yeah

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Why wouldn't you call the first film in a franchise just Star Wars right? Would you need a subtitle because George Lucas

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Had a lot of plans yellow out plans he had big epic plans for where the series is gonna go and he never got to fulfill

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_01]: As far as we know any of them

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, stars do know but we do our research. We do our research. I just feel like sometimes I get so sleepy. Yeah, sure

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: So we talk about the Phantom Manage. Yeah George Lucas's fourth future film. Yeah

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's go. We still 11. Yeah, I was American graffiti great film

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_01]: There's another one always for more and then he made the Phantom Manage

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: There was a gap in between there was one somewhere between like 1975 and 1999

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It was one other film

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember one of what I said about like Stalinist Russia or something

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Like born like that ST is definitely the first two letters that guy needs to learn how to make a crowd

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Please there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean he never really settled down and I got his head out of the clouds

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_01]: This was that movie with self-financed with the $100 million that that's important in the game

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And so essentially the merchandise the cart came before the horse the merchandise paid for the movie that was then going to result

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why any company would pay a hundred billion dollars for the first home in a franchise that is totally untested

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, I don't know we have the figures but we had the box office figures. It was probably it was probably a successful move on

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Is it has Browse Park? I think they over-assimated demand

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I think they sold some toys they did they did but they shipped way too many. Okay, all right, all right

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_03]: So there's some landfill somewhere with like a bunch of like

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, gragros right filling up with this for any other gragros actually wasn't released until 2007. Okay, but for any other film

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: In a franchise I know because I waited for any other film

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: The merchandise sales would have been through the roof. Yeah, right. Oh, I see yeah, we're way too high

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They produced too many they sent too many to stores and so a lot of them are put on the discount

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_01]: This is all important for today's episode because I don't want to speak for everyone

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think I speak for everyone. I say that everyone loves this podcast

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean 100% approval rating is that what you're talking about? Yeah people gone bananas or do you mean that everyone in Earth listens to it?

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Both right and they all love it. Everyone loves it. Yeah

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone 7 billion thumbs up anybody who's anybody and I'm not saying like anyone who's important

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying literally anybody who is a body. Yeah

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And doesn't I pod this party or an Android who cares where we're

[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You know not not not platform-est no absolutely not I used to own an Android not anymore

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: It's I stone is zoom. I didn't know it's really I'm just kidding Android Android

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_01]: The the mere company name

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Come as from the droids of the Star Wars films. They pay a royalty. Do you know this?

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I know is that true the Android company pays a royalty to drive it

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_03]: George Lucas one George Lucas knows how to make a buck. Yeah, holy cow. Yeah, but

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Two they couldn't have just called it something else cheese they could have called a T-feet T-C14

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_01]: T-C14 is the best I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I got this wrong

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: They don't pay a royalty to the Android phone. It was the Motorola droid

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, which was an Android phone right but it was just called the droid this

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: He owns the word droid so so far we've said on this podcast that it's the best podcast everyone

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone loves it and then we talked about droids for five minutes. This is the worst podcast

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_01]: This is actual but like jokes aside

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_03]: This is actually maybe the number one worst podcast. I think I think so I think I think we're pretty proud standard barriers to that title

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I think so

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_01]: One of the things that people love about this podcast. Okay

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Is merchandise spotlight. It's it's one of our favorite recurring features and people stop me on the street and they go griff

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: How come some episodes don't have a merchandise spot? I can't even go on this street anymore by the way

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It's tough people are angry because we do it sometimes you don't do it every time we've done it most times though most times a couple times

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They're just wasn't natural segue in a couple times I forgot and

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_03]: So a couple times you talk for 40 minutes about a certain toy

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes I do that. Yes, sometimes I do that one. That's today

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Gonna be one of those times. Well, yeah today is bump up a bump up the merchandise spotlight spotlight

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: This whole episode is a spotlight on the merchandise spotlight

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_01]: That's something you're going. Yeah, the merchandise spotlight. Okay, some of you may say what that sounds like

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I think you would only devote a full episode to when you realize that this concept is running a little thin

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_01]: They some of you may say

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Close as podcast app deletes episodes wait still next week. Maybe that one will be better

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of you might verbalize that you might say that but please

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You can say it don't do it. Don't delete the app. No, don't do it. This episode's gonna blow your mind

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't let the app cheese. This episode is gonna be fun. We should have our own app

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_01]: We should have our own app, but I think my roommates and app program are we could maybe what the hell yeah

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know I right it's like an often that

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_01]: But but it is worth mentioning here before we get into the merchandise

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_01]: We are second tired of this fucking movie. This is getting to a point

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I can I can barely stand to think about this movie anymore. We reached out to

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_01]: The bendouser aka the pro do or aka producer band the poet warrior

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Elophane cast hello, Fennel himself. How you doing fellas?

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Do I pretty good pretty exhausted this past it with this movie? Yeah, Ben you watch the movie once right?

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I sure did yeah, you left it at one time

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: You do have to listen to us talking about it. I do have to edit you guys and I will mention that

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Usually it's Monday morning and sometimes this guy gets a little tired

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: I believe it I can yeah, I also believe that

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But we just want to assure you

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_03]: This podcast isn't going anywhere just because the very words the Phantom Menace brings bile into my throat

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Right we're doing a couple more episodes. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, we're gonna

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Muck a little more blood out of this done and

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Once once has done we're gonna keep shop you might have noticed on iTunes

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not listed as the Phantom podcast where let's say Griffin and David presents. That's make us super accessible

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_01]: A larger branding initiative

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Will move on to talk at other stuff. I don't know what else we're gonna talk about, you know

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_01]: We can't

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Move on to the Star Wars saga because it's a one and done. Yeah, they pulled a real producer Ben on making it

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, I'll do one more sweep just to double check things

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_01]: But I think unfortunately Phantom Menace is really as far as it goes. Yeah, I think after one last whenever our last episode of this

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Focus on the end it's not a pressing thing quick sweep. It's not

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: We talk about looking for a needle in a stack of needles yes

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: a needle in a stack of

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Needles yeah, but here we go merchandise spotlight

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm so tired of this fucking movie

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I hate looking at anything related to it but let's just now

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's just ignore it's the fact that you as a kid watching the movie

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It was the best one. Yes, but also you you really liked toys. I love toys and

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You have a lot of you bought a lot of Phantom Menace toys, right?

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Today I'm gonna try to focus on some of the times I didn't get to buy so but what can you estimate like what percentage of the Phantom Menace

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Like merchandise you own

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, not not too

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Extreme I actually was surprised by how little of it I owned really really I could probably tell you my whole collection

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, what was the most expensive item you owned?

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Probably the fucking contact reader honestly. Did you have a lightsaber?

[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I had a light to my brother had one yeah, yeah

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I had the Anakin potterace for the came with anicin. Yeah, I had water. I had Odeeman drill the

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_01]: He's the one with the oblong shaped head the the pot racer. Oh, yeah

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_03]: He was the one who was a good guy. Yeah, I was a good guy

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't degenerate. No, it was a fun episode last week. That was fun. We were a great podcast

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I had a him I had a pretty complete collection of the Taco Bell toys we'll talk about a little bit

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I had the Comtec that might have been it honestly. Okay, so you didn't go crazy. You didn't go talk wild

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I want to go hot wild and and you were nine years old so you had no money of your own dude

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I was 10 for your information sorry 10. I keep seeing you know

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I'd saved up my dollar allowance for about a year you got a buck you got a buck

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I got a buck. I think I got a buck a buck a week

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I saved up for like not a year

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_01]: I saved up for a couple months leading up to the release of this film and then blew most of it on the Comtec reader

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So that that was

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_03]: You know how I feel like parents must think like Jesus Christ the kids gonna buy that thing like and then they just feel sorry for you

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Like look I'll get you with you. I know you really you really think that's the one that's the one you want

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And I definitely hard sold it to my dad using the exact verbage on the packaging being like no, but now toy's talk

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Dad now toys talk with Comtec readers

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_01]: A universe of sound is open to you boy. I did I was that kind of kid. Yeah, I

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't think I owned a single star was the Phantom Minus. No, I must have had something

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know I didn't have much

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Well here are the two tracks. I want to start the N64 game the racer

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I had the pottery a certain yeah, I technically was my brothers. I might have had a couple books

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_03]: You know how they were there was those like big books like pick books with like all kinds of info

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Dora-ling can do something fun fun fact my parents thought that I was

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Treated better than my brother growing up so they decided to buy him in 10 to 64 and me a game boy to put me in my place

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they they specifically said like and you're getting a game boy to put you in your place

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: They were like you usually get more toys than Jamesy

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Jamesy really sounds like a son of a bitch

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Well the thing with me is I wasn't allowed video games. Yeah, but that was we weren't allowed video games until that year

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I wasn't we I think I had like a I had a game gear

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, yes, so you know

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't we weren't allowed like a TV console

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was the first year 99 was the first year where I allowed to get one and when I was 12 or 13 I saved

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I got two pounds a week

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I saved for 13 weeks and then I bought myself our super Nintendo which was an an outdated console right nonetheless

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_03]: a console and

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And then my mom was like no, she you're not allowed in but it was I was like I'm buying it

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Like and so that broke the bat and then they bought my brother every console he wanted

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_01]: My parents were pioneer. Oh, yeah, you were the Rosa Parks. Yeah, of

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_01]: The Sims family the owning video game systems

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: My my parents would get angry if we went over to a friends play some we played their video games and then my brother

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Came paid really hard and they like there was a family meeting and it was like we decided we're finally gonna buy a video game system

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's gonna belong to Jamesy. It's gonna be in Jamesy's room

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_03]: What it's not gonna be wasn't like the shared room? No, it was in Jamesy living room Jamesy had like a cheap

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Like TV they got him like a radio shack like a

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Him at Jamesy whatever was like a $60. This is some great bullshit. It didn't even have antennas or whatever

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_01]: It was just to play the N64

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Right and they were like and Griffin since you usually get more toys, which was like that was just a product of me asking

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And you were older right I was older and more years so he'm like a fucking killer collection

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Just a tight-a-shoot collection

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, so they were like you get a game boy and I like a game boy not color just it was color

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I think color just come out there

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not the worst thing in the world. Yeah, no N64

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So glad we did that family sidebar

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's that there's this ad now with an N64 kid that's driving me crazy no what they know the

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't knew yeah, he's like grown up now and he's getting like a Samsung or something and he said it's terrible

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Who cares?

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about something important the merchandise for Star Wars episode one the Phantom Manus

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I got a couple different tabs over here. I want to stop us two parallel tracks

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, one is items I wish I owned I'm gonna tell you things that I have strong emotional memories of

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Waning very badly as a child now

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I have a question are these items like easy to get no or would they cost a lot of money on eBay like are they collectors item David great

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Question yeah glad we're going to this now what 15 minutes into this episode

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think Ben we've been going for a solid hour right? No, not even close at all

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Say more like 11 minutes cool cool. I have also open a tab here

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_01]: On eBay for the Phantom Manus

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And I have clicked on the buy it now thing and I want to commit to we're gonna have three tracks one is items

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I want it as a trial. Yeah, two is I'm gonna commit to buying an item before the set of events. I'm excited for you

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I just typed in Phantom Manus a lot so I want a larger amount of something

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It was just my birth that you could buy me something to oh you don't have to do that

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't think that I haven't I night them for you

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I have something picked out we're gonna build it to that okay, and the third the third track is

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_01]: This podcast is extensively

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It has won goal to answer one question

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_03]: What is the Phantom Manus about the crew we've come up short every week? You know we always bat around a fury

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And then it's like yeah, but wow, you know it always ends with a sign desperately into our microphones if Phantom Manus

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Is a movie that was only brought to life through merchandise okay, right?

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_03]: The merchandise paid for the product true. This is the this is the Genesis at the film and a weird sort of way

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the merchandise is the key to figuring out the movie maybe there are clues within the products that can help

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Apply a different prism through which to view the film or maybe you just want to talk about toys for an hour. Yeah, I love talking

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I understand what you're saying Griffin but first up here's an item that might help us

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and the third track is you trying to buy something. Okay, I get it

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I get all three tracks buying things I wish I had a try didn't there's a three-crong three prongs

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, first item falls into what is the movie about okay? It is a plush toy

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on rebel scum.com author them a quick plot rebel scum has a very good photo archive

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Merchys it's merchandise website a lot of expanded universe stuff that they have a nice

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Section with that console. Oh guy come up again. Yeah, which is like I don't what fucking please be a

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Forcent trading card. He's a person yeah, what's so interesting? Yeah, I don't care about that here is an alien this toy is called

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Hungary hero

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: George char so I'm 99 it retail for seven 99 okay the 99 economy 99 economy okay, so

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Jedi master points 20 points that was a system they had Jedi master points each toy

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_01]: You could send them and I think they never came up with a system to redeem a friend

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Weapons accessories comes with two tubas

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_01]: What's the tuba? Well, it seems to say that these are one of the things he steals from

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Bragrab but we know there's a gorg right so I don't know because this looks like what he steals from

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Gragar right? No whatever all right, so this like it's horrifying

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_03]: It is a plush doll of

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_03]: George R. But his tongue is like sticking out and he's got plastic pearls kind of like Dilbert's tie yes

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And the eyes are plastic did you say the eyes are plastic they're okay, so they be hard

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you were sleeping in a bed the eyes might be a cut

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_03]: He gave me a side view of it a deep in the worse. Yeah, it's really terrible

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks his tongue looks a little like a prolapsed A-ness like yeah, yeah, that's absolutely it

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's what it looks like. Yeah, it's all curled up and narrowed and this toy talks if you squeeze his belly

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you gonna read all the things he says? Yeah, um

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_01]: His catchphrases

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_01]: include Iki Ikigu

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_01]: does he say that movie maybe how would

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Misa called Jar Jar Banks you suggest it are

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Coasy

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Max can we go back to that episode where we talk about racist this is you suggest a are coasy

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Max a big divorce

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Max a big divorce. Maxy big divorce

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's him saying well the first is big

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_01]: fucking moving we do it

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: We do it that we did did yeah, but it's called d u d like dude

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yahoo and

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Oi moi moi. I love use

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_01]: plus two different tongue sounds

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Now this is supposedly what the movies about are you gonna connect this okay? Because when you squeeze his belly

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_01]: He's not called hunger here. Oh Jar Jar for no reason okay? He's hungry

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_01]: You squeeze his belly his tongue unfurls sure straight out sort of like a party blower yeah

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And it comes with the two chupas and you're supposed to be able to catch a chupa in the tongue

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Bring it back into his mouth to reenact our favorite scene where he steals a gork using a leestone right

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_01]: But let's look back at the title of this product

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_01]: hungry

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Hero Jar Jar he's the hero of what the phantom men is well

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Gorgs well George is made it clear to us that patman of dollars the hero the story is her story

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_03]: She's the protagonist right

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So is he

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_01]: heroic for eating gorgs and chupas

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Is the film implying that somehow him eating these foods stealing them with his prolapse to anus tongue

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Is in fact a heroic act now we know that when

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_03]: He steals from gargra he sets a chain of events in motion obviously that

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Basically ends up feeding tattooing's homeless population right

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_03]: But I do not understand any other way in which he would be here for eating stuff that's not enough for you

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_01]: But that's not in the movie

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Come on it's can it well you're saying and I think we're both we both thought when we read that episode two was probably gonna be about

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it was a cracker a story. Yeah, I think it was a cracker a story so you're saying like

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: You know sure and me dolla might be the phantom menace protagonist

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But Jar Jar binks is the star wars protecting David this is all I'm saying a company like hasboro right very smart company

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Constantly vying for the top spot. I mean it's Mattel on hasboro always joccing to be the number one toy company

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking the big dog. Yeah, right

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_01]: They don't throw words around willy nilly without meaning they focus everything the focus group everything and they think through everything creatively

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_01]: They could have called it hungry Jar Jar and

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It would have sold but they went no that's undersung. He's a hungry Indian vacation this

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_01]: This is

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm body he's a hungry hero

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01]: What child would want this nightmare in there?

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: No, and that's why I wanted to set up three different tracks so you didn't think that I wanted this

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_01]: I had no interest in this garbage is a fucking stupid product

[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_04]: boy

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, what's next?

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, there's so much he's scrolling through a page that is just it's like bottomless

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_03]: This is when I really wanted jab at the hut, so now we're into Griffin wanted this yes with two headed an answer

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh with

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Foden bead yes now interestingly this was the original release of Foden bead

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_01]: It was a later rerelease a couple years later because I don't know if you know this

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_01]: originally Greg proves and

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Whoever the fucking the other asshole was who they beat

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not they were in makeup. They were not I did no, yes, they shot their faces and it's on a makeup

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And then see how their face is on to a body and they thought it looked too creepy and he had up going full CGI

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Right, so this is the photo and bead with realistic heads

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_01]: They have realistic and barely see yeah, I mean if I can get a better picture hold on

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_01]: But this one they have they have realistic heads

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is very creepy, but there's something more interesting going on here

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_01]: This is trying to recreate all the excitement of the pottery, right?

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we think about the pottery what do you think of what's the most exciting moment in the pottery since sequence which we cover last week is the most exciting sequence in the film

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Probably when Anakin is like clashing with subova wrong okay yet to pick one moment that really encapsulates the thrill and the joy of the Star Wars

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Phantom and as unit I have a feeling that whatever I say is not gonna be the correct answer and this action figure focuses on something really boring

[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's true give it two more shots

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, when the tusk and raiders shoot at the

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_03]: The pod race very wrong one more

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_03]: When Ben quagineros is shipped

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Pod won't start and then it explodes that's close. I would say that's number two. Okay, so what's number one?

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's a close up with their faces

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_01]: This is gonna be really interesting for the listeners just you looking at them and acknowledging that yes, that does look like red probes. It does it does

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Right, it's a pretty good likeness

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks really really creepy too

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_01]: No very creepy now this film chose to depict the number one most exciting moment

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_01]: which is

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_01]: when

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_01]: whichever the hut

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Bites the head right off a chute well and spit it out I was thinking that that's that is pretty good when he starts the race by executing a small animal

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So it comes with a large chute, huh?

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_03]: No, this is not job of the hut. What is this thing? This is job of the hut. Oh God it looks terrible

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: This is everyone's favorite jab of the house. Everyone's face are green like a dark forest green

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that's too facilitate the action feature

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Because you take the head off of the chupa or whatever

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And the chupas like a missile it's like one of those classic spring loaded missiles that we know for our our youths

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And so they have to create a large opening

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks kind of like a glory hole

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_01]: In jab of the hut's mouth is dark

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_01]: There's no kind of about it. Right and so you put that in it looks very unnatural without the chupa

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And then if you put the chupa in

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: There's he's loading another picture. This is scintelating

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_01]: See like there. Now he's just got a chupa head stick out his mouth. Yep, and you drop his arm and it shoots out at full force and hits the gun

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And does the gun make a noise?

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's just a plastic thing

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I cannot tell you how badly I want it this one

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_01]: So why didn't you get it? This is my question

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_03]: There they are. I found a picture of the

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_03]: terrifying yeah, it is pretty scary there they're they're actual makeup

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_01]: You can see why they didn't do it. Yeah, it's really creepy. Yeah

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Why did I get it? Yeah, I don't know. I mean awesome powers the spy who's shagging me came out a couple months later

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And I moved on to that what a movie. I just want a lot of awesome powers merchandise

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that became you you asked why didn't know more of it

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I think really like awesome powers came out two weeks later and awesome powers became my favorite movie all time

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Us cars too the thing with like the ship shape like a penis with a key

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So that murdered me in the theater so funny. Okay, so now we're on to

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_01]: eBay

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_03]: So you're looking for this toy on eBay

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Now we're gonna look for other stuff. This is what I want I told you recently that I've been bidding on contact lots

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you did

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you told everyone I think you meant maybe you only told me in private. Yeah

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I might tell you in practice as a lone bear. So I've been getting drunk and looking for lots of contacts Ben Ben producer Ben just shake his head like he's

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Feelin sorry for this man over here. I'm not really interested in the figure

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so this is something I want right here and this is a buy it now best offer. Okay. Holy this is a pile of

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Comtex

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_01]: It's 19

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Which if you haven't listened to like episode one when Griffin talks about this?

[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's this like complete pyramid scheme of a toy where you have to buy some kind of like

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Radio comment community talk like never before each figure comes with a little plastic chip and you would like plug the chip in

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_01]: You wouldn't even plug it in you swipe it over the top

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like oh we want kind of his calm like communicator

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you buy that the reader which I maybe have somewhere I parents are moving so I actually have to move

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_01]: All my my talking from your child. No, yeah, well, so I've to move on stuff out

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_03]: They're downsizing now that the kids are out of the house. So we're gonna use this

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a combination of

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Empty nests and also my father being in tremendous financial debt. Oh cool. Uh, yeah

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Real mismanagement of funds. Sorry hear that, but do you want to say that on there?

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah sure. Oh cool. I that will never listen to this

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_01]: What if your dad listens every week? No

[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, here's here's the plan. Sorry then Ben

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna say cut that part out but then don't cut it out

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_01]: But then I have plausible deniability because I said cut it out

[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_01]: You can cut this part out

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cut the part out with how to say cut it out. Okay anyway, so clean at it point cut it out. Okay. Yeah Ben just cut that part out

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Cool, right? Oh, cool

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_01]: But so the question remains

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_01]: The context of ships are worth nothing

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Without the contact reader and even with the computer reader one could argue they're basically worthless pretty

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Values how many how many like phrases do they generate you chose maybe three three or four

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But I want to find the best deal. This guy's got 19 no duplicates, right? A lot of good trips here

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I see Darth Maul. I see uh...

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Darth Maul have three lines. No he's probably gonna want. Yeah

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I could figure out what his what is one line is but

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a pretty good deal. This guy's saying 1099 or make a best offer

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Shipping is free. It's 19 but is it better like this this is 14 ships plus the com link

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but he's charging you nine bucks for shipping. Oh yeah get fuck this guy. Oh

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Though you do get the com link. Yeah

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_01]: The reader yeah the reader

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Um, this is such a good podcasting of this guy

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_03]: This guy here sir Ben is firing us. He's just writing up the email of fire us right now

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I can see it. Okay. This guy's lot is no that's not that that's not that

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not what that is like keep going you guys are doing great. Okay cut that part out. All right. This guy's lot is

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_01]: 48 ships

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Holy cow 40 there are there are 48 no do clicker that might be the complete set

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus Christ. There's so big they're really big they're like they're like this

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Plastic dog is some bullshit. It's 2999

[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_01]: But free shipping by it now making offer yeah

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_01]: What do you think is the offer? I should make that as responsible 20 bucks right I think so

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Have you been 20 bucks for this?

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_03]: If he gets anything more than one dollar for this thing after shipping

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he's a lucky man. I'm gonna make a $20 offer right now with real American money that I have earned through working

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It's amazing you were just working just this weekend. You have a real job. Yeah, I guess where your job is coming up

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, um and you know what that means

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Time starts spending money irresponsible so that's right because like you're you're still I feel like in that phase of your life

[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Where like the money just sort of goes into unusual places

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Very not buying yourself like

[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_03]: A cast iron pan absolutely not you know some kitchenware or maybe that's that's irresponsible

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I have I've known Griffin for years now. I've never been to his apartment

[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd really like to go but I imagine they just got a lot of

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_01]: You know toys and shit yeah, well my roommates are very classy adults yeah, and so yeah

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a really interesting clash clash of

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Esthetics within a park they are basically getting ready to live their adult lives together and the apartment that part of the apartment looks like that

[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and my one of my roommates is a my two roommates are getting married to each other. Yep, and

[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_01]: One of my roommates is a ceramicist and so we have a lot of really elegant pottery up on the wall

[00:28:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Great, and then we have a shelf that's called the international tribute to Batman

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_01]: That's just different

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Different Batman toys in different scales different mediums different artistic interpretations. Yeah

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I also bought a big

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Rotating

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Media tower for my Disney Infinity figures

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Disney Infinity of course being my favorite video game and you have to buy all these like toys that actually go with it

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a buy all these toys. It's part of the new it's another period of time

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a brilliant pyramid scheme for me. Well my father had a gambling addiction

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And mean your dad's talk yeah, my dad's a really good guy. I'm not a life-go-near like just seeing

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Really I mean like I do once in a while but if I do I will just not have money after a while

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_01]: That was the thing that per almost ran my parents from gangmarin

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Did just he was so sure he was so horrible

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And clean at a point start now. Yeah, but it's just you know I went to

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Cuz you know a few months ago and I

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Had a crazy one of the craft stable on I had like $600 and I cached it out

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but my friends weren't ready to leave yet and so I just sort of hung around and it took about 20 minutes before

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I just threw all of the money back on the table. Yeah, yeah, I lost my dad bed on sports

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's cool. Yeah, I never really did that. I like the being there. You know yeah my dad

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just this podcast is just called talking dad

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_01]: My dad had a video it's one of the weirdest films ever made

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It was like a couple years ago my parents were like oh, for your dad's birthday

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_01]: We got this converted to DVD. I want to show to you guys

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_01]: It was from my dad's 30th birthday my mom made a video

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Called a day in the life of Peter Newman where my mom played my dad and it was like that's so pretty

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Is like a parody of my dad's love it if someone made that up me my 30th birthday is next year

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So like if someone wants to play me yeah video about me hire my mom. She didn't really get you

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean yeah, it would mostly just be like me biting my nails a lot and like watching movies on

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_03]: During the day yeah, I am texting people. I don't know. I don't think it would be that interesting

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well my dad's movie was a lot of just him acting like he was important

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_01]: But the other thing was I I watched it and I didn't recognize like anyone at it because it was like all my dad's best friend

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Sure back before he had kids

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_01]: There was going to be two people I recognize right and anytime I said my mom like who is that the answer was always either

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_01]: He was a gambling friend or he died of AIDS

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_01]: The A.D. It's the saddest movie ever

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_01]: It's the worst

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_01]: My mom gives a pervert or a performance though. Yeah, I really want to see this and I never

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_01]: She's got a very high voice my dad sent to you boys

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Which goes oh, she has blonde hair

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Just need to die. It's not a very convincing physical performance. There's like Bradley Cooper doing elephant man on Broadway

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_01]: He didn't go for prosthetics. No, it's all about the acting the spirit. Okay, so did you make your bid? Yeah, they you decline my offer

[00:31:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Now, but here's the thing you said $20 I meant to type in 1999

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_01]: You just type one 99 I typed in 19 so let's let's try 20 let's try 20 on the dot 20 on the nuggets

[00:31:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So is this I don't use eBay enough anymore, but like is it like he has some kind of like

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a floor and if you reach that floor. You probably says yeah, I'll go for a better offer

[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But that's okay that offer was declined. Okay now here's the thing

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_01]: It says this is your final chance to make an offer for this item

[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I have one more chance to make an offer and then after that you can only buy it now for 29 99 so I would say 23

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_01]: What do you think? I'm gonna do 23 99

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's okay. You think that's pushing it? Well, I think it's more like if you're gonna just just bid 24

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's bid 24 dollars

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like if you don't want to miss it by a penny. Yeah, it was decline. Okay. Well with the what the hell man?

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so this guy wants $29

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's just whether you're gonna give it to him for a contact a pile of cut does it come with the reader? No, it's not so you might not be able to use these

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Unless you find the toy in your parents. What's up? I'm parents moving out because my father is just managed the finances

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Then you got your work cut out for you. Yeah, yeah, I do cut it up

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean cut it up. I bet cut you cut me

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean cut out cut out this attitude you're going to cut it out. Okay. You're gonna do it really bug it. No, you're right. Sorry

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Too much too Ben too much too. Yeah

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Ben's new nickname is a root-toed Ben root-toed

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_01]: To do sir Ben the poet laureate of toed

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Well we'll return to this

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Thirling that's where it's really hot in here, right can we turn it down is that possible

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_01]: God, this is this is the episode where we just stopped

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just I'm just playing with the film. It's that right now

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_03]: It is really hot and he was it wasn't last really gotten here. What can we?

[00:33:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know guys

[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so that's I don't fucking know what to tell you cut it out

[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, you go cut it out. So so far this episode's about two minutes long great

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_03]: So we got three tracks I think it's clear how fucking sick we are of the first

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_01]: So we took this movie this episode looks like Steven said a burst traffic

[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_01]: We have to jump around some of the plot lines don't feel like they make sense until they all converge at the end

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Right I called don't you know

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I call

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess I should probably be Luis Guzman right. I want to be best friends. Oh, they're so cute in that movie

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: The most underrated part of traffic the best part can we turn on the heat in here is that

[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Ben, do you know how to work this episode?

[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_02]: All right well it's not gonna happen. I want to get into it all right. Okay, fine, but it's not gonna happen

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just gonna be hot in here damn it you see me. Yeah cut out

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Here is go and back to track one can we decipher the plot at all from the merchandise

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so what have you got and this falls a little into promotion

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about briefly in the past now there was an unprecedented fast food promotion. Yeah, we're tri-con global

[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_01]: The owner of

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_01]: of pizza hut kFC talk a scene talk about yes

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_03]: They're called tricon it's always scary when you learn the name of these like conglomerates

[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_03]: That sounds like a trade for the needs it sounds like yeah, it sounds like they're building robocop right now

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and new gun rate is on their board

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing we all complain about new gun rate being racist, but that's actually just a person playing himself

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 100%

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_01]: He I mean he is good in the film. Yeah, isn't self his his mere existence is problematic though

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a little problematic. Oh you're saying just as his his experience existence as a person yeah

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So these three companies teamed up together

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Spend a lot of money

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Major bid because they had to out bid Burger King McDonald's the big boys just let you know

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Tri-con global is now called young brands and it's global revenue in 2013 was

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_03]: 13 billion dollars they own Pepsi too right younger

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_03]: They own KFC pizza hut talk about wing streets. I don't think they own Pepsi

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, they would earn a lot more. They used to own long-john silvers, but they'd known anymore

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But I based in Louisville, Kentucky

[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_01]: My hometown. That's not true. Yes

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Tri-con global team up

[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_01]: So each restaurant represented a planet

[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I believe talk about was yeah, did you get this right tattooing tattoo was it? Yes, okay

[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Pizza hut would have been Khorosont and KFC would have been a boo all right

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Um

[00:36:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And they had a lot of toys that were really lackluster. I got say I was gonna try to come

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_03]: For a luller, a luller, a luller, a luller, a luller, a luller

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Happy meal type toys they weren't big boys in the game

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know something like McDonald's burking they knew how to make a premium item at that point so but were they doing Star Wars though? No no

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_01]: But they're all camping. No, no, of course. We're good a burger king during the Anastasia promotion

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_01]: You went out like Anastasia you're gonna get a good fucking toy you're gonna get a great bar talk

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a guarantee yeah, you're gonna get a maybe a plush bar talk a cool the road

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Cast head I remember the rest putin he's his limbs would follow

[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You can pull them all back together. It was a great little toy

[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I never even saw the movie talking to the stadium talking to the stage

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it in the stage? I understand yeah, I don't know I think in Russian

[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think it's pronounced

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Eagle

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_01]: So they didn't they didn't know how to make great toys

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure. Yeah, they had the cups which I talked about in the past where the top we talked about it

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_01]: The head talked about that cool the toys themselves were really disappointing other than

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Queen of Dallas secret identity which totally ruined a film

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Which was a little pad may figure you could get in so let's talk about like the soundtrack album came up before the movie and

[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_03]: One of the tracks is called like Qui-Gon's funeral. Yeah, so you know

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_03]: They weren't really trying too hard here. Yeah, so the toys underwhelmed

[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_01]: But this is where they really stepped up was on the advertising okay, they had a big

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Contest it was sort of like McDonald's monopoly where you have to collect matching things and if you collect four

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Properties of the same color you win a big vacation sure

[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So for this it was you get tokens with him and it was probably the three we get all the time in the last one was like incredibly

[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Right as always the case. It was one that's like one in one billion

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But it was a good after connect like three characters from a similar thing so it'd be like oh the three orange ones are oh I think it was for it was like

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Shme

[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Sybil the water and Anakin if you got those you were on a planet. I give that makes sense right

[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_01]: You want a lot money, so they promoted this this thing a lot because the toys were just for kids

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_01]: The contest for everyone everyone loves winning money. Yeah, so you can spend it on dumb toys like idea

[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_01]: But their big campaign was defeat the dark side

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_01]: You got to defeat the dark side. I'll do it and so they created their own parallel narrative in which the spokesperson for each of the three companies was a character

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_01]: As part of a team a trio fighting to defeat the dark side so who were the three

[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Well on Wikipedia right now, I'm gonna read you the wookiee pd entries. They're short for each of the three characters

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_03]: First one is named harlan sand it. Okay, okay. I understand now. I see is there a picture?

[00:38:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, here he is punch in someone he's gonna like to so he is Colonel Sanders with a light saber

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Wookiee pd says that he is likely for sensitive and was born around 97

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_03]: B.B. Why Wookiee pd is treating this

[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Colonel Sanders it's literally he's got the bowloat high. It's just Colonel sand no adjustments to the design

[00:39:15] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same guy we know and love just with a light saber and it's treating him like he's a Jedi knight who fights the dark side

[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_01]: He was born around 97 B.B. Why which makes him the very old? Oh no

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Because this movie is set like 20 B.B. Why right? Yeah, but the movie itself is a long time ago and galaxy far for our way

[00:39:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, you're seeing if Sanders still exists today. Well, I know he did more he didn't

[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He did found KFC as we can and not until what?

[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_01]: 1915 1960 yeah with his decoresp. So at that point he was what thousands of years old. He's like yeah, oh

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Or he wrote a cattle the one below

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Colonel Harlan Sanders is a spectacle wearing human male who was born around 97 B.B. Why a

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_01]: known light saber welder and likely for sensitive. He is known for wielding a light saber welding. We did both

[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Sanders was born was known as a strong determined individual and a fierce opponent of the dark side

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Sound all that right we have that knowledge in our back pocket.

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Sanders founded KFC. Oh, so that's a cannon too.

[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_01]: So that also is cannon and a establishment which apparently serves buckets of chicken prepared under a special

[00:40:24] [SPEAKER_01]: recipe. Now we know that's not apparently we know that exists. I guess they're saying within the Phantom Manus universe

[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that's not proven which rose in popularity over a number of years. Sanders later served in the battle of the

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_01]: two. Oh, later I didn't see him there. Alongside our other two.

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Hascot's okay let's see who they are. The Trolloff from Taco Bell was very big at the time 99.

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I remember and

[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Pizza Hut girl. That brings us to our next mascot. Pizza Hut girl. Right because pizza doesn't really have a mascot.

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_03]: You know they don't. The KFC has Colonel Sanders or McDonald's has Ronald McDonald's.

[00:41:03] [SPEAKER_03]: They don't. They did it. Right being like Apex Twin. You know, they do not. Let me see her please.

[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_03]: She looks like she's very sexy. Okay, so she kind of looks like super Mario with a blue belly shirt

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_03]: and instead of an M on her red hat she's got a pizza Hut logo. Yeah, she's a girl. I'm gonna throw it a

[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_01]: deep pull here. Do you know who she reminds me of physically? Go ahead.

[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't it Nancy Pemento who replaced Jimmy Kimmel on Wind Bendstein's money? No, I do who talking about well Google

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Pizza girl is wearing like a red leather pizza Hut jacket. She's got a pizza Hut hat and then she's got like a

[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_03]: halter top and tight jeans. Okay, yeah, and not a midriff show. I don't think this

[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_03]: of jeans I think those are made out of PVC because it was 1999 or so. Oh yeah, you're happy.

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're pretty shiny. Okay, so can I read can I read this one please? The human hero and no

[00:41:54] [SPEAKER_03]: least pizza Hut girl. So secret identity was a slicer who sounds intense slicer and martial arts

[00:42:01] [SPEAKER_03]: expert from around the time of the battle of Naboo. circa 55 BBY. You guys don't know.

[00:42:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Prior to joining the forces of Pizza Hut, she worked for micro-tech ink as a hardware tester

[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_03]: a euphemism for hacker. What? Okay, and a two rock for two rock concert promotions has crowd control.

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_03]: What is what is this after doing that? Anything. This is part of the canon. This is

[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_03]: study's occurred at a far-flung locales. This hung-cognitinesia, she was the youngest graduate of the

[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_03]: citadel. I don't, isn't this recent a lot? I don't know. I really upset. I honestly don't know.

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying. We're trying to figure out the plot by looking at these characters,

[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_01]: trying to reconcile their bio is making an event. It makes perfect. Because at the age of 23,

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_03]: she found her true calling, allowing her mastery of Taikwondo and her love of pizza to shine by working

[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_03]: four pizza hut. And there she found herself allied with Harlan Sanders and the Chihuahua in an effort

[00:42:56] [SPEAKER_01]: to defeat the dark side of the battle of Naboo. Okay, so that's where it comes up. We haven't

[00:42:59] [SPEAKER_01]: noticed. We watched this movie 20 times. We've never noticed that I didn't see pizza. I didn't see pizza.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't see her or do I. Well, I think it's Dyson. Okay, can I say Pizza Girl didn't, you know,

[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_01]: they didn't have a mascot. They needed to complete the trifecta of the mascots. Right.

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Colonel Sanders and the Troller were so recognizable. So they created Pizza Girl. They hired this lady

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Kim Murphy to play her. Stons handled by Lee Hanna see a lot of stunts in the ad campaign,

[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and then she was immediately killed off after the campaign. Pizza Girl only existed for this one.

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I see. And then they were just, no, we don't like her. This isn't working out.

[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_01]: But they treated her like she was like, like she was like, like, poochie. Like she had always been there.

[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_03]: We love to her. Right, right, right. It's a great poochie reference.

[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Funny that you were wasn't poochie. Yeah, the Chihuahua. Here's the bio on the Chihuahua.

[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_01]: The Chihuahua was a Chihuahua dog.

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Makes sense so far. That's so far. Makes way more sense than Pizza Hucco. Fighting the dark side around

[00:43:56] [SPEAKER_01]: the time of the battle in a boo to free the tacos. Were they being helped, prisoner? Apparently,

[00:44:05] [SPEAKER_01]: the reason he was fighting in the battle was to free the tacos. He tirelessly devoted his life to

[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_01]: the pursuit of tacos. This dedication has allowed him to heighten his natural skills of navigation,

[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_03]: negotiation, and general deviousness. I don't like that's an uncomfortable sort of ethnic

[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_01]: stereotype. He put his considerable talents to work fighting the ultimate evil in the universe,

[00:44:34] [SPEAKER_01]: because he rationalized when the universe is free the tacos are free. To see me literally like

[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_03]: free to purchase or to just visit their their freedom of their prison. Where the tacos down there

[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_01]: with Yadlo and Yadlo ate all the tacos. They were below. Do you don't know the tacos are called

[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_01]: the ones below, the food below? During that time he was working on the Jedi mind trick, apparently

[00:44:57] [SPEAKER_01]: never mastered it. He was working on it. Okay, so does that give us any greater sense of what

[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_03]: maybe it's about tacos? Yeah, maybe it's what's really happening is the tacos are being

[00:45:11] [SPEAKER_01]: helped prisoner. This talking dog had to unite. I mean, a thousand years old, Southern Colonel.

[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. And known lightsaber, we'll do and welder according to you and also create

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_01]: bringing into existence Ruby Spark style a pizza hut girl who's a slicer and a hacker and a

[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_01]: blaster wielder. Just to free the tacos at the bound above. Maybe that's what the hell was really about.

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it was a friend. No, here like if we can be honest, like I mean maybe the reason

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_03]: the film is so incredibly, oh, he's beyond it. So incredibly muddled creatively and

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_03]: distressing to watch over and over again is that um it was there they were trying to satisfy too many

[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_03]: you know like you know it's they're trying to make a movie for kids. They're trying to make a movie that

[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_03]: can be merchandise. They're trying to make a movie fast food companies about tacos who knew I didn't

[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_03]: know about this tacos angle until just now but clearly the film obviously is this huge taco thread

[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_03]: running throughout. Sure and like you know just too many cooks in the kitchen. This is the problem

[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_03]: George Lucas he you know he needed to edit he needed to cut it down much like we're going to cut this

[00:46:20] [SPEAKER_03]: by a cast down. I disagree on all kinds. So you just think the movie is about tacos.

[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I think the movie's about tacos. I think I finally cracked it and we can be freed from this

[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_01]: prison and I don't understand what you're standing in the way of that. Fine the movie's about tacos.

[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_03]: The end podcast over boom. Well what's the ventimate is about answer tacos?

[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_01]: tacos bro got to free them tacos. Here's a toy that I wanted. Go ahead.

[00:46:53] [SPEAKER_01]: We all know that water was my favorite character. What's TC14 is likely supplanted them now?

[00:46:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But at the time water was number three was my favorite. As you said a couple weeks ago

[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_03]: it's a kid your favorite characters were water captain Turples and uh...

[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Los Angeles. That was my holy train. That was my oh your favorite characters are

[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_01]: gragra, gragra and TC14. Yeah. So if some if water's name was on it I wanted it. That was the basic rule

[00:47:21] [SPEAKER_01]: so and this is before you see the film. Yeah, but after the film. I get the nits after too. Yeah

[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So I you know had the water cut from Taco Bell. I had the water action figure but that wasn't enough for me.

[00:47:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted more. If what was name was on it I wanted it.

[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And so this was a toy I really wanted it was very hard to find. But you didn't get.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't get it. And this I didn't get this would have been my second water action figure.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't get it because it was so hard to find. Sure. It's called water's box.

[00:47:54] [SPEAKER_01]: A little freaked out already. David what's the second most exciting moment in the pottery sequence?

[00:48:01] [SPEAKER_03]: So we covered the the first most exciting moment is when Java spits a head on it.

[00:48:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And hits a gun. Is the second most exciting moment when he's woken up by his hand maiden?

[00:48:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Well kind of. Okay. Is it when

[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Qui-Gon points very deliberately at his iPad

[00:48:24] [SPEAKER_03]: showing where Anakin is in like a catastrophe and might just about be ready to die?

[00:48:29] [SPEAKER_01]: You were closer the first time and I'm going to give you points for it because your problem was that you were too specific.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Points!

[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_01]: How are you Chris Harder?

[00:48:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus. More like Chris soft away.

[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Soft dick. I get whatever. I don't care. Just cut it out. I'm sorry.

[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Cut it out. All right. Got it. Yeah, cut it out like a bunch. You know cut it like real hard. Wait,

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_03]: edit? No, keep it all in. Everything's in. Everything's in. Don't cut anything.

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_01]: It's starting now. Right. Right. Cut everything before them. Yeah, this is the beginning of the

[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Antipodicast. I'm Griffin. I'm David. So what's the most interesting about

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_01]: DeHasbro plays at Watos Box? Yeah, so what's in Watos Box? What is this?

[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_03]: What is disgusting sentence? Yep. It's just the box where he watches the game.

[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I was afraid it was going to be some like you know Iron Maiden where he keeps his slaves to punish them

[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_03]: like some little sort of solitary confinement box or like a flashlight like that we reveal that

[00:49:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Watos has a vagina. So what? Cut them out. Let's start again. So but what you're talking about is

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_03]: just the luxury box he purchases at the Boon-Tee of Classic to watch the race from.

[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't think he perks. I think he probably has it. I think he has its season long.

[00:49:46] [SPEAKER_01]: That's my feeling. Yeah, it's there. It's yes. That's what it is. It's yes. It's yes. All right.

[00:49:53] [SPEAKER_01]: So can I see this please? Yeah, I'm trying to get a better high-dough picture. But what you

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_01]: basically have is it comes with a contact show. It was very hard to find. Okay? Because kids want to

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_03]: relive this moment over and over again. So you're saying it's not because even has burn new

[00:50:09] [SPEAKER_03]: their limits and didn't make many of these. It's because people they just flew right off the

[00:50:13] [SPEAKER_01]: shelves. Yeah, there's nothing. Kids love to play out with favors. They like to play out

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_01]: their favorite scenes from movies. They like to relive epic battles and their favorite thing to do

[00:50:24] [SPEAKER_01]: is their colors. They like to pretend that the action figures are watching things.

[00:50:31] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a fun active thing to do with action figures. Producer Ben, if you want to look at

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Wato's box. So Wato is hanging out in a box on a chair. He's standing on a chair. He's next to a

[00:50:44] [SPEAKER_03]: red twieleck woman in a bikini. That's those are the women who have the two tentacles coming

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_03]: over their hair. Yeah. Head. And I don't know what that thing is. Yeah, I can't remember.

[00:50:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of the nine foot tall. His coat head. He has his head a long go-to beard.

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's a slightly different water than the one I had because his wings are down.

[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm pointing down. Yeah, because he's sitting. We're not sitting. He's standing on a chair.

[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. That's a very clear point to me. And you get these two other terrifying looking creatures.

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. And it comes with a contact ship that only has two lines, but they're longer lines.

[00:51:29] [SPEAKER_01]: The boy is good, but the new be in ship will belong to me.

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And nobody beats so ball-bought. I put 50,000 on him to win. So this is interesting. These are not

[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_03]: lines he said. They are not lines in the front. So that's what they're like.

[00:51:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So that's what they're like. It's like. Yeah. Okay. Okay.

[00:51:44] [SPEAKER_01]: How much of this cost? 20 bucks. Not only not. Not bad for three figures. You know, 20 jetlight master points.

[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_03]: What if one day Congress reveals that Jedi Master Points are how we're going to like do all commerce and now.

[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Time it is. We've got to go back to eBay. Okay. So you're going to try and buy this?

[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to, I'm going to, this one. I'm going to, this one. I'm going to watch this.

[00:52:08] [SPEAKER_01]: So I have this here. Okay. So I can pay $30 for it later if I want. We're 50, two minutes in.

[00:52:14] [SPEAKER_03]: So if you're going to buy something on this podcast, you better do it.

[00:52:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Have this been such a good episode. It's been, I mean, what do you think then?

[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think we're going to win a Pulitzer for this one? What? Yeah.

[00:52:27] [SPEAKER_00]: What's going? Just edit everything. Just cut the whole thing. All right.

[00:52:31] [SPEAKER_02]: I will so podcast is Ben Stream. Welcome to my dream.

[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And what's going on here, Dream right now? Subscribe it to us.

[00:52:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not in a padded room. We are in a padded room. No windows with no windows and really no air.

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_01]: That definitely helps the feeling of insanity is that we're in a padded room with no ventilation.

[00:52:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Talk about the Phantom Men's. There is a vent, but as far as I can tell,

[00:52:59] [SPEAKER_01]: it's not working. They might be piping gas in through that vent.

[00:53:03] [SPEAKER_03]: TC 14 might come in any moment now and offer us tea. And then we'll know.

[00:53:07] [SPEAKER_01]: This Wi-Fi is so slow that I'm trashed our new search for Comtex for a cheaper price.

[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And Griffin, because up since gone long, I might have backed myself into a corner for paying $30.

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_01]: For this lot. I don't know if we have time to...

[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, is there any other toy?

[00:53:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Search for other toys. Search for what? Obox. To see how much it costs?

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. Whatever. Just what else have you got? Yeah, I want to see what else you've loaded.

[00:53:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The Micro Machines Galactic Center. This is great. I loved Micro Machines.

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was okay. They were great. They were little, little, little.

[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Little scenes, vehicles, the figures are tiny. They're like very small. Like a inch half an inch?

[00:53:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So this looks like, yeah, this is the Galactic Center.

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Instead of a million Senate seats it has four.

[00:53:45] [SPEAKER_03]: It has four. And then upstairs you've got like an office.

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_01]: That's where Anakin goes to visit Padme when they talk to him. He's trying to catch her in the shower.

[00:53:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he talks to her. Yeah, he's trying to catch her in the shower.

[00:53:56] [SPEAKER_03]: That's cool. I like that.

[00:53:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. What did you have this?

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a real reaction of the films.

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So Micro Machines usually are...

[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a piece of meat. It's a piece of meat.

[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a whole Senate seat.

[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Epic battles. You know, the battle of Naboo and because they're so small

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_01]: you can have all the warriors there and all the vehicles and all the ships.

[00:54:12] [SPEAKER_01]: This just lets you show, like three centers talking.

[00:54:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, you can have like a subcommittee reading.

[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it comes with two old white guys.

[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_01]: A Valoram in Palpatine?

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, who says?

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_01]: You're...

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes. Exactly.

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And there's a little space car flying by.

[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh cool.

[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to get to work.

[00:54:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:54:31] [SPEAKER_03]: On Carson.

[00:54:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. I think Ben's gonna kill us.

[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's gonna kill us.

[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_03]: We talked about the Avengers for about an hour before we recorded two.

[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_03]: So Ben had to suffer through that.

[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_02]: That was fine.

[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_02]: It's good.

[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_02]: This is great.

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_02]: He's so nice.

[00:54:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Then what would you be doing with your time of not recording this?

[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good question.

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I would be editing other podcasts.

[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Then you are a podcast editor.

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I suppose that makes sense.

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_01]: You're a podcast editor by trade?

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was born to do it.

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Which is a very sad statement.

[00:55:08] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:55:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's great.

[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's awesome.

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Now we'll be doing one of the podcast in the 19th century.

[00:55:15] [SPEAKER_03]: That is, it was no podcast.

[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_03]: There was no podcasting.

[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to get lunch after this one?

[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, hungry.

[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we'll keep that then.

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So far, that's the whole podcast.

[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_00]: That's all I've got.

[00:55:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Just you asking Ben to get lunch with the money.

[00:55:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Chipotle? What do you think?

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, definitely.

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I was gonna suggest.

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Here is, maybe record some footage in Chipotle too.

[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, sure.

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Spice it in.

[00:55:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:55:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Just our orders.

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, spice in the orders.

[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_02]: What do you guys order Chipotle?

[00:55:44] [SPEAKER_02]: What's here?

[00:55:45] [SPEAKER_02]: This is not going to be in the podcast.

[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_01]: This is holding in the podcast.

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_02]: No, guys.

[00:55:49] [SPEAKER_01]: I found two better deals.

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Great.

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_01]: This guy has 22 chips for $10.99 plus $6.99 shipping by it now.

[00:56:01] [SPEAKER_01]: This guy here it is, we found it.

[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_01]: $25 for $17.

[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Free shipping.

[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_01]: So we got Turples, New Gun Ray, Rico Le.

[00:56:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Why Gun?

[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Ode Man Drall.

[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a communicator.

[00:56:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you should go for the 48 chip one, man.

[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_00]: This $30.

[00:56:22] [SPEAKER_00]: 48 chips.

[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's see if the guy has the best one.

[00:56:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Here is the final reveal for you, David.

[00:56:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a birthday present.

[00:56:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I just want to point out the fact that we have not even in an hour

[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_03]: scratched the surface of how many freaking toys they were.

[00:56:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Too many.

[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_01]: There's just so many toys.

[00:56:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Too many.

[00:56:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, here's another fun one that I really wanted as a child.

[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I assume there were like action figures for all the main characters, right?

[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Too many.

[00:56:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Like just like your classic kind of.

[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_01]: But everyone down to Sio Biblical.

[00:56:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's another thing if we can extrapolate meaning Sio Biblical comes with griping.

[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to tie all these threads together.

[00:57:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Battle bags.

[00:57:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So here's what a battle bag looked like.

[00:57:08] [SPEAKER_01]: You get a little card and there's literally just a bag.

[00:57:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like a hacky sack.

[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And then a little a little plastic spear.

[00:57:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that's what that is.

[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And what the battle bag was was it was filled with weird,

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_01]: gross, wet bath salts.

[00:57:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Am I out of my mind?

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't make this.

[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted this so badly.

[00:57:27] [SPEAKER_01]: My parents won five because I thought it sounded gross.

[00:57:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it sounds gross so far.

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It's filled with like weird, like bath salts.

[00:57:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Like multicolored bath salts.

[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And then you take the spear and you cut it open and they're creatures inside.

[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_01]: What?

[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Sea creatures.

[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, like so it's like sea monkeys.

[00:57:44] [SPEAKER_01]: But it's not like a mystery.

[00:57:45] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not like, oh, you don't know which ones you're going to get.

[00:57:46] [SPEAKER_01]: You get like some of the creatures that chase.

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But wait, are these real?

[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, these are some of the creatures that are there alive.

[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so they're not like sea monkeys.

[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they're just like little rubber things.

[00:57:56] [SPEAKER_03]: But you put them in your bath.

[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that the idea?

[00:57:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to do it every one of them.

[00:58:02] [SPEAKER_01]: There were four different sets and you knew which ones you were going to get.

[00:58:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not like collect them all.

[00:58:04] [SPEAKER_01]: You have to keep on buying them, opening up the packs to see which ones.

[00:58:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's good of them.

[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It comes with like a scalpel.

[00:58:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's called a cutting tool.

[00:58:12] [SPEAKER_01]: A packaging variation.

[00:58:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of them change the name from SkittlC creature to fall.

[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So just keep that.

[00:58:19] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I can't wait.

[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_03]: This was your, you're any game, but this is what was going to tie all together.

[00:58:24] [SPEAKER_01]: No, there's not my ending gambit.

[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_03]: A bunch of bath salts they used to smoke.

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:58:30] [SPEAKER_01]: We had three tracks.

[00:58:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I was trying to wrap up all three tracks.

[00:58:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Do one last installment for all three tracks.

[00:58:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Understood.

[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Cool.

[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Track one.

[00:58:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Things that might help us understand the meaning of the film.

[00:58:39] [SPEAKER_03]: But this was track two things you wanted at the time.

[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_03]: The bath salts?

[00:58:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Or was this track one?

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_01]: This is track one.

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[00:58:49] [SPEAKER_01]: That was a long box.

[00:58:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I realized I fucked this up.

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_01]: That's both, that's both.

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_01]: That's both.

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Because now now the tracks are changed.

[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_01]: One track is those two things combined.

[00:59:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the tracks have changed a bunch.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It's called a battle bag.

[00:59:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Why is it called a battle bag?

[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That's not a battle.

[00:59:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess so.

[00:59:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's sort of in it, you know, there's a, yeah, no, it's not a battle.

[00:59:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of those creatures look friendly.

[00:59:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Now you're telling us they were the real enemy.

[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_01]: They were the swamp creatures who were just

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_01]: supposed to be fighting the whole time.

[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Wasn't it just like, it was like what's another beast or something bag?

[00:59:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they swim in a rail.

[00:59:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, some of these were swamp creatures they were on land.

[00:59:26] [SPEAKER_01]: They were four packs.

[00:59:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, bags.

[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Probably get a burrito bowl.

[00:59:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Chicken, chicken, black bean, guac.

[00:59:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know what?

[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I deserve it.

[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you did deserve a treat yourself.

[00:59:36] [SPEAKER_03]: To quote the TV show.

[00:59:39] [SPEAKER_01]: David, there was a 12 inch line of figures.

[00:59:42] [SPEAKER_01]: The standard, the stars figures are three and three quarter inches tall.

[00:59:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.

[00:59:46] [SPEAKER_01]: 12 inches, sort of a GI Joe scale.

[00:59:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Poseable, oh 12 inches like a big one, right?

[00:59:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Right. So it's a larger,

[00:59:52] [SPEAKER_03]: poseable with real cloth in England.

[00:59:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Close called action man.

[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that was a different character.

[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know, but it was your equivalent.

[00:59:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It was our quote for example.

[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_01]: But action man has been reconciled into the judge of time.

[01:00:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Atlanta at points.

[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_03]: That's weird.

[01:00:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They almost did an action man movie.

[01:00:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I had an action man that swam in flippers.

[01:00:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and he would, he would, he would, he would do the front crawl if you wound them up.

[01:00:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, action man was almost going to be in judgeau rise of cover because they

[01:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: want to appeal more to European audiences.

[01:00:17] [SPEAKER_01]: So like somebody who's got to play him?

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can remember who was going to be.

[01:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: The 12 inch figures, it's a more expensive line, right?

[01:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It's more of a collector scale.

[01:00:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And so whereas the main figures they'll cover any body and everybody,

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: this is like the heavy hitters because you're not going to buy all the 12

[01:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: ventures, right?

[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: So you got your anacons, your battle droids, of course,

[01:00:38] [SPEAKER_01]: your chancellor for the lower rooms.

[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Course.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not excited that outside that.

[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, it's a pretty short list all considered and compared to other lists.

[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.

[01:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a bulb, a quite good one.

[01:00:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a very amazing character.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Good judgeau, dark, dark, small.

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Pit droids.

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_01]: The main 10 pretty much, right?

[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But one character is not getting here.

[01:00:57] [SPEAKER_01]: As if a message to us, a time capsule from the past.

[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_03]: They were like, um, and 16 years someone's going to make a podcast about this.

[01:01:05] [SPEAKER_01]: A sense.

[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_01]: A deconstruction of this film.

[01:01:08] [SPEAKER_03]: They saw us in the theaters and our respective pieces of the

[01:01:10] [SPEAKER_03]: nuclear.

[01:01:11] [SPEAKER_01]: This is an expensive item.

[01:01:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And not only did they say, oh, we're going to make it a 12 inch

[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: we're going to make it into Lux Electronic 12 inch.

[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, usually reserved only for dark, small, charge our,

[01:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: quite gone, right?

[01:01:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe George I made that list.

[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.

[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Three electronics.

[01:01:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and see three here.

[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: They're four electronics.

[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Heavy hitters, right?

[01:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: They snuck one more electronic under the radar.

[01:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Who the fuck do you think it was, David?

[01:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Captain Benaka?

[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Electronics.

[01:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you crazy?

[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Fucking holy shit.

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: 14.

[01:01:41] [SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy.

[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Look at her.

[01:01:43] [SPEAKER_03]: She looks beautiful.

[01:01:43] [SPEAKER_01]: It speaks five phrases from the movie, all five phrases.

[01:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: You can re-enact every line of the movie in Lundland.

[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_03]: In Lundland.

[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_03]: You dunk him.

[01:01:51] Yeah.

[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, David.

[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_03]: This is crazy.

[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't have predicted this in one thousand years.

[01:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I told you I had a good ending.

[01:01:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Ah, it is a good ending.

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_03]: That is a good ending.

[01:02:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Who would think?

[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_01]: It comes with the little silver tray.

[01:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: This is five phrases.

[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a T.C. 14 out your service.

[01:02:07] [SPEAKER_01]: My master will be with you shortly.

[01:02:08] [SPEAKER_01]: We are greatly, there's some misspelling.

[01:02:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Make yourself comfortable this way ambassador.

[01:02:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.

[01:02:21] [SPEAKER_01]: No, T.C. 14 was 29.99.

[01:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty cheap.

[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_01]: But they knew at the time also that this was like a more niche item.

[01:02:27] [SPEAKER_01]: That's for the guy.

[01:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: They were waiting for us to get later.

[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to track one down.

[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I could price for your birthday.

[01:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to find two at a good price because I need one too.

[01:02:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like when the siblings both had to re-hary potter.

[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: So the pairs would just have to buy two books.

[01:02:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good for me.

[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And quickly to close the book on rebel scum before we go back to eBay.

[01:02:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And I purchased this lot.

[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_01]: rebel scum is very, very extensive and thorough archive of all the merchandise.

[01:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Where is this?

[01:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: So you can see different companies, different toys, different lines, right?

[01:03:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Lego. There were a lot of Lego sets for Phantom Manus.

[01:03:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.

[01:03:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I clicked that.

[01:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It was like maybe there's a good Lego item to look at.

[01:03:31] [SPEAKER_01]: They do not value the Star Wars collector that buys Star Wars Lego as much as the

[01:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Lego fan that buys Star Wars Lego.

[01:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: We don't believe it serves our community well and no longer dedicate resources to covering Star Wars

[01:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Lego.

[01:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Lego is the trademark of Lego group of companies which does not sponsor authorize or endorse

[01:03:48] [SPEAKER_01]: this site with the fuck happening between rebel scum and Lego.

[01:03:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no question.

[01:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And they act like it.

[01:03:57] [SPEAKER_03]: That's clearly what's happening here.

[01:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: They don't make Star Wars toys.

[01:04:00] [SPEAKER_03]: They make Lego.

[01:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And maybe they make Lego's little click Star Wars toys and that's cool, but they're

[01:04:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Lego's first and foremost.

[01:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Rebel scum got something fight with them or I don't know whatever.

[01:04:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You're just silent right now.

[01:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at these two lots because we got to end this episode and I got to

[01:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I got to buy one of these two.

[01:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Why will you buy 30 bucks?

[01:04:21] [SPEAKER_03]: No shipping.

[01:04:21] [SPEAKER_01]: 30 bucks no shipping versus 17 bucks no shipping.

[01:04:24] [SPEAKER_01]: But this is almost twice as many.

[01:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: It's twice yeah it's more than twice as many.

[01:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I know duplicates.

[01:04:44] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to do this.

[01:04:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing it.

[01:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Money makes me really uncomfortable.

[01:04:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Need to like having it makes me uncomfortable and I have to spend it on garbage.

[01:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I should give you a bunch.

[01:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Can I talk about something really annoying as I'm checking out on payfell?

[01:04:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Good.

[01:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yesterday I was with some friends drinking outside.

[01:05:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Like I comes up very clean looking.

[01:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like I'm so sorry to bother you and I'm really embarrassed to do this.

[01:05:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I told myself I never do this and want you know how much it humbles me to have to.

[01:05:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm a veteran I just got back from two tours and Afghanistan.

[01:05:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm staying with my brother I live in Brooklyn I'm staying with my brother I have a baby.

[01:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: He was starting so much information.

[01:05:35] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like an idiot for doing that.

[01:05:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I just need $17 to buy diapers.

[01:05:41] [SPEAKER_01]: All that speel and it was such an overload.

[01:05:43] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a really information overload.

[01:05:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And there with my friend Alejandro.

[01:05:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, how are you doing?

[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_01]: He's doing well.

[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Good. Thanks for asking.

[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And we both are just like,

[01:05:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and would give him $2.

[01:05:56] [SPEAKER_01]: We give him a combined $4.

[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Sure. Okay.

[01:05:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And he looks at it and he goes,

[01:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: oh I'm still like $13 short.

[01:06:08] [SPEAKER_00]: That was like yeah.

[01:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: He goes.

[01:06:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus Christ.

[01:06:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And walks away like we're assholes for giving him money.

[01:06:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And the second way he walked away we were like well that guy was bullshitting too.

[01:06:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah he doesn't he's not going to buy diapers.

[01:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: No guy who served tours had skin like this man.

[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking the most beautiful, unblemished skin I've ever seen.

[01:06:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Griffin.

[01:06:31] [SPEAKER_01]: The story is he gave $100 to a guy the day before.

[01:06:34] [SPEAKER_01]: PrusaBad has a handle on the door.

[01:06:35] [SPEAKER_01]: He's hand on the door handle.

[01:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: You want to get his open the door?

[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not a comedy bangbang sound effect.

[01:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: That's PrusaBad just walked out.

[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: He is like, he doesn't like what's going in this podcast.

[01:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean officially purchased a $30 lot of contact ships.

[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: So get ready.

[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I think we got two episodes off the business.

[01:06:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I think we have two max left.

[01:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[01:07:00] [SPEAKER_01]: This show will continue.

[01:07:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.

[01:07:02] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll cover other things.

[01:07:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe we're listening to fans and what they want.

[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like judging the judge is probably the most popular pick right now.

[01:07:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean you mean of any media property in existence right?

[01:07:13] [SPEAKER_01]: If any media property that we could potentially cover David Dobkins, the judge starring Robert

[01:07:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Danny Jr.

[01:07:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Fair for me.

[01:07:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And he's a Robert to evolve.

[01:07:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And I can't imagine what he'd been like.

[01:07:22] [SPEAKER_01]: My lord nominated before him.

[01:07:23] [SPEAKER_03]: My favorite thing about the judge is the trailer.

[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, lists everyone.

[01:07:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like Academy Award nominee, Robert Danny Jr.

[01:07:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Academy Award nominee, Vera Farmega Vincent de Nafrio.

[01:07:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Academy Award winner Robert.

[01:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the, there's no, and there's more people in this Academy Award.

[01:07:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Wonder Bill of Upthors.

[01:07:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:07:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Vincent de Nafrio gets nothing for his name.

[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_03]: What's a real sad state of affairs?

[01:07:44] [SPEAKER_01]: All for listening to the show.

[01:07:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I think so of course, the friend of the show Vincent de Nafrio.

[01:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: You're an Oscar.

[01:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Baby in our heart.

[01:07:50] [SPEAKER_03]: If any come right on this show right now,

[01:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: talk to us about playing Wilson Fisk.

[01:07:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, God.

[01:07:54] [SPEAKER_01]: What a good performance.

[01:07:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Just a tremendous performance.

[01:07:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, well, I've had a terrible time recording this episode.

[01:07:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I have had a delightful time recording this episode.

[01:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: The only thing that bummed me out was Ben's face.

[01:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Ben's sad, more and more faith.

[01:08:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Ben's stupid due to face.

[01:08:08] [SPEAKER_01]: His face looks like someone took a due to.

[01:08:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And then the due to had eyes.

[01:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait for this to be over.

[01:08:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I am going to look.

[01:08:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll promise you in the next couple of weeks.

[01:08:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I am going to go to google.com.

[01:08:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[01:08:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to put in Star Wars.

[01:08:23] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the one thing I haven't done so far, my research.

[01:08:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And just double check that there isn't anything else.

[01:08:27] [SPEAKER_01]: But just because he had such an epic plan for the saga,

[01:08:31] [SPEAKER_01]: it's like maybe he adopted into a comic book.

[01:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: The way we didn't do it.

[01:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he's in seven a buffet?

[01:08:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, maybe there's something we didn't do.

[01:08:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that season 7?

[01:08:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you were 7.

[01:08:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I know, no, it was 8.

[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.

[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I was so close.

[01:08:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Season 7 is the last televised season of buffet.

[01:08:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Me, there's something.

[01:08:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe something.

[01:08:45] [SPEAKER_01]: You know?

[01:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[01:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I would love to hear or see

[01:08:49] [SPEAKER_01]: in some, just get a sense of what his larger vision was for the story.

[01:08:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know, the Wikipedia is always talking about the expanded universe and all this stuff in

[01:08:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Hunsolo.

[01:08:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So like, you know, maybe there's something about that guy.

[01:09:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[01:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: I gotta say, I don't like the cut of this Hunsolo's gym.

[01:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And he looks like a slimy character.

[01:09:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like a real dish bag.

[01:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: It's trading cards on a digital app or anything to go off of.

[01:09:10] [SPEAKER_01]: This guy has no cultural stake in this.

[01:09:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you all for listening.

[01:09:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been David Sims.

[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I've been Griffin Newman.

[01:09:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you all.

[01:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And as always, I don't want to grow up on this waste rest.

[01:09:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Bye guys.

[01:09:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
