In the sixth installment of the only podcast that exclusively talks about Attack of the Clones (formally just the Phantom Menace until discovering this sequel), Griffin and David once again examine the film’s entire cast and rate all the major players–actor by actor. From Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi as most improved to Christopher Lee killing it as Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus to the amazing voice acting of Ron Falk as THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE: DEXTER JETTSTER!
How do the boys rankings of some actors compare to the last review? Do their critiques take into account the once again overwhelming criticism that revolved around this film?
Plus, assessing director’s body of work such as Joel Schumacher, apparently Michael Jackson wanted to be Jar Jar Binks and remember thespians don’t blink!

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Like it's a little hard to eat the rest of it.
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And you just eat that much.
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: No one would buy crustless pizza.
[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what they're saying.
[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Some crustless pizza with some free pigs and blankets.
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_03]: A little Caesar now has a pretzel pizza.
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Ooh.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Not just a random fat Jew that you're of your turn.
[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_02]: We're referring to that way.
[00:02:20] Right.
[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_03]: No.
[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: We do have a little housekeeping to do.
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I like to say this in two weeks.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I like to say this one thing before you even say that at the request of Hello Fennel himself.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Guys, please.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Great review and some Scott.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: We do have a perfect 10 for 10 right now.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that true?
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: We have 10 five star rings.
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a little nervous to ask people to rate because I don't.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that we, we have quality over quantity.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I think quantity is crucial though.
[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Quality would be great.
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, in terms of iTunes metrics.
[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't really know that.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Definitely.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: We're all so angry right now.
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: We're see things really.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_03]: A million out of topics.
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_02]: None of which we should really be that man.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to be.
[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_02]: We probably chill out a bit.
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Things in our personal lives.
[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Things in the media.
[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Pixels.
[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Box office.
[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to see pixels.
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_02]: We almost suppose like a hot in attack the park as so we could just do it.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_02]: We can get a picture.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_02]: We will do that next week.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Pick.
[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Picks.
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Picks.
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Picks.
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Pixel.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_03]: The winner.
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Pixel.
[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I have not.
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we need to see it.
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_03]: To do a 10 part podcast.
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Many series.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Charge or a banks.
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Active.
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_02]: On my friend now.
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Experiment.
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Shadow.
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Experiment.
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_02]: He emailed me right away saying, like, you guys need to talk about this on the next episode.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_03]: He didn't interview.
[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_03]: He's dead.
[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_03]: On the best.
[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh no, on the best.
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Michael Jackson is dead though.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_03]: On it best.
[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: The actor who gave us.
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Jar Jar Banks didn't interview.
[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Now looking back 16 years later on his whole experience.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: The sort of.
[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Bial that was thrown at him.
[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_03]: For playing an orange frog.
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: In a bad movie.
[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was like looking back on his whole experience.
[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It was his first action job.
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_03]: He had been a performer in Stompley.
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like a series of stuff.
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, you know, he's a professional.
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's a fascinating interview.
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And he talks about actually with it with a, uh,
[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I think surprising poison grace and clear.
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Our sense of everything was with the big thing that came out was he said he when they were
[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_03]: filming George Lucas brought them to a Michael Jackson concert.
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, that sounds right.
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So now he Portland and Jay Chloe nomad best went and they went back.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: What a crew.
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_03]: The mod's gone.
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: My holy Trinity.
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_02]: He was going to, George Lucas is next.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_02]: He was going to reboot the mod's squad again.
[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_02]: He was going to be a couple of years later with Jay Chloe didn't the Giovanni
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Rebusy role right now.
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_02]: The Portland and the Claire Dains role.
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'm a best in the Omar Eps role.
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: They would have killed it.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, of course.
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_03]: If only fan and man has had done better than being the third highest grossing film
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_03]: all time, maybe that would have gotten green lip.
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_03]: The three lead actors of the third highest.
[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_02]: What a shout out to the mod's squad reboot.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I know, right?
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_02]: The original actors.
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't even, I can't even name the original actors.
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, Peggy Lepton mother of, um,
[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Rashida Jounds.
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, cool.
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And Lipton's I see.
[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: She was the mother of Lipton's I see that came out of her, um, all right.
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_03]: The burden could have.
[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, just, I just want to read one of our reviews.
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Queen of the Moon says if only I could give this podcast,
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Apportments does no stars.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: That's really funny.
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that a lot.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, Ben looks like he has notes, but also was just holding a page with a lot of
[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_03]: doodles.
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_03]: He's looking very intently at a page in a notebook.
[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_03]: He just dribbled out.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just a little scratch.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And then the story.
[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_03]: So he brings him back to Michael Jackson.
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Come meet Michael Jackson and he's like,
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Hi, this is Jake Lloyd.
[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, hi nice to meet you, Jake Lloyd.
[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, are you an angel?
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like now apartment and jeep.
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I will not allow this committee and he's nice to me,
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_03]: you too.
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And then he's like, um, there's no word for word from the interview.
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, uh, Michael Jackson, uh, this is all my best.
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, he plays Jar Jar and Michael Jackson was like, oh.
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_03]: He threw shade.
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm best of a psych after it seems like what was,
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_03]: what was up with that with Michael Jackson's voice dropping 17
[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_03]: octaves suddenly.
[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And he went, uh, Michael really wanted to play Jar Jar.
[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Same.
[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Now I have a quick take on this.
[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Movie would have been better if Michael Jackson.
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think there's any question at all because one,
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_02]: any accusation of like racism or the part being bad would be
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_02]: washed away by like, you have a Michael Jackson's crazy.
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, just doesn't help people.
[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_02]: So there would be a lot less like things, you know,
[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_02]: a lot less anger thrown around because it will help.
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's Michael Jackson.
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_02]: What do you expect?
[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's also in this ties into what our episode today is
[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_03]: surfling around circus.
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, this is our second circus.
[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Our second performance review.
[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Woo!
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And which we review every single acting performance in attack the cleanse.
[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And a big thing until we get tired of going down the IMDB credits.
[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Which is very long.
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the big thing we talked about in the Phantom Mass Performance
[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: review is that this was such a big movie.
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: You had all these actors, various levels of, you know, established
[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_03]: cred and, you know, very different backgrounds and everything.
[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But the big thing that I'm coming was I think no one wanted to question
[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: what George he poured.
[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_03]: He was telling him to do sure.
[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's this guy.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: He's made massively successful movies.
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I mean, graffiti and all some other, yeah.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Producing a Jones thumbs.
[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Huge hits.
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And so like, no one's going to stand up to him and say, like, I want to do it this way instead.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Michael Jackson's a lunatic was a lunatic.
[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna pee Mike.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And he would have just been like,
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, George, I'm gonna do have a...
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_03]: It's quite possible.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I think I want it.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_02]: George may have just realized, yeah, this is not someone I'm going to be able to direct.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He might have just rewritten the part and played it however he wanted to.
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you know why it didn't happen?
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_03]: What?
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, creative differences.
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, it sounded like it was very close to happening.
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Except Michael Jackson wanted to do the entire performance practically.
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He wanted to be in front of the camera and in makeup in a suit.
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And George was like, no, it has to be digital.
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you want to be the voice?
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_03]: He was like, I don't want to be the fucking voice.
[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_03]: That's how he said it.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a way strapped another octave.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't want to be the fucking voice.
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to be the fucking voice.
[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_03]: See you later, George.
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Michael Jackson, what a weird hour.
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I still think he would have been better.
[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: No question he would have been.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_03]: But this interview may realize it was perhaps not on a best fall.
[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_03]: He was told, hey, you're in Star Wars.
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Episode one.
[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: The Phantom Man says could be a star of a massive franchise.
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Who knows how many films he's going to make after you're going to make a zillion toys
[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_02]: with your, you know, frog face on it?
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, great.
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: What do I have to do?
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And they go, just do it exactly as it's written.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that what he says?
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_02]: But he was just doing it as it was written.
[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but I'm saying that's what he did.
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't think he creatively reinterpreted.
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the script is written as like, oh, me, so usah doo-doo.
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, like, we talked about this a lot in the last performance of it here.
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_03]: There's one more thing I want to do housekeeping.
[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, did you watch the silent cut that was sent to us?
[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't watched you yet.
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but you're aware of this?
[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course.
[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I watched some of, I didn't watch the whole thing.
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not even right now.
[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm too, because I want to get the proper title.
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: So our friend at the show, listener, Colin Scott,
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Twitter handle Colin, it quits.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: But two else in Colin posted.
[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_03]: He didn't edit.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I believe it's 15 minutes long.
[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this is, I watched, I don't know, two or three minutes of it before.
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I was like on the subway or something.
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I watched the whole thing.
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_03]: It's called silent attack and it was inspired by a comment.
[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I had made that George has said that he views these as like silent movies
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_03]: and that the dialogue is wallpaper and it's just about the ships moving.
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And that maybe perhaps we should put it to the test and see if the film would work.
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Just with the music.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You strip it a color, you just have the music and the actions.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And you see if it plays like an old silent serial.
[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I got to say it's kind of fucking rad.
[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It is. It's great.
[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He picked a couple scenes.
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So we're not getting the whole movie.
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't have every single scene would work.
[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_03]: But he picked the opening.
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_02]: He got the title and then he has the whole car.
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Accession, times.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Then he has the speeder chase because that's all
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_03]: stuff in the middle.
[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But there are a couple of dialogue scenes where he created like inner titles.
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Like old movie style inner titles.
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Where you'll see the characters flap their mouths and then
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll cut to only the pertinent dialogue, which I will say.
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, when you're just reading small clips of dialogue, the fact that
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_03]: the dialogue is that expository becomes less painful.
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course.
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And be when you're not hearing their,
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_02]: They're, especially hating Christians in dumb, Bronx voice.
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_03]: But they're like overly emotive like hammy, like fucking faces and body language.
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Actually plays better when you're like, well, that was the only way
[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_03]: there can convey their feelings.
[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_03]: That's how the silence stars did.
[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And the ship's look great.
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, maybe George has a point.
[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, maybe George just wants to be making silent films.
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_03]: And he just, he doesn't have the courage to actually go through with it.
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_03]: That's really funny.
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, if there's, he put in an intelligence as we shared do a lot of
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Banser for a silent movie.
[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's, it's really, I was very impressed with that.
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_03]: We got to share it out.
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_03]: We got to share it out.
[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_03]: So please, a silent attack from Colin Scott, aka Connery.
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Please watch it.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's incredible.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Colin, thank you so much for that.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Now we're on to bump up a bump,
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_03]: and we're going to be a part of the story.
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_03]: The story of the movie is the Phantom Manus movies
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_03]: and constantly attacked for having shitty performances.
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to keep track as we did last time.
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Right, so we're going to have two colleagues.
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Go then bad.
[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Go then bad.
[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll keep a tally.
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're going to keep tally.
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to try to, no keep it mysterious.
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_03]: If it had been a assessment about whether or not the acting in the movie is bad.
[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I don't like general statements like, oh, all the acting is bad.
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_02]: You know?
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but do you remember last time that we came close?
[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_02]: We came really close.
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_02]: We have to be a little harsh.
[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's got to be a large.
[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Because we were saying, oh, yeah, that guy was one line of dialogue.
[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_02]: He did fine.
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And the acting in that movie is bad.
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_02]: We can't, we can't be.
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_02]: We're really worried at the end.
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_02]: We were like, oh, this is like 15 to 17.
[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So let's go.
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_02]: This is IMDB cast.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_02]: IMDB cast.
[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Billing list.
[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to start with the top.
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_02]: You and McGregor.
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I said we want Kenobi.
[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Now we gave him a thumbs down last time.
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Real big thumbs down.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_02]: He's real shit and Phantom Manus.
[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And we like him as an actor.
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Not all the time, but we talked about when he's good.
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_03]: He's great.
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like him as an actor.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_03]: He's done some really, really good performances in Phantom Manus.
[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_03]: He's totally drowning.
[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_03]: This movie has a lot more of him.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It does.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It really kind of ups him to the co-lead if not the very first build.
[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_03]: First build.
[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he, and he, yeah, he shoulders the B plot.
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's a subplot.
[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a subplot.
[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a subplot.
[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_02]: It is a lot.
[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, the other one is two leads and he's the soul lead.
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_03]: But his character grows up a lot in between the two moves.
[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_03]: True.
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Paying Christianson has to take on a character someone else played.
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So you don't have to think about growth.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so think about just his dumb Bronx accent.
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, the portman is playing six months younger in terms of actual performance than what
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_03]: he played.
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about it later.
[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But you and my gargars, the one guy who convincingly shows the passage of 10 years.
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I would argue and not just in the sometimes fake beard he's wearing, but I think in body language
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03]: and attitude.
[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_03]: No, actually.
[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I actually do.
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_02]: In authority?
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that he's the most relaxing performer to watch.
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_02]: The major performance where you're like, okay, this doesn't feel completely still
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_02]: to and like almost awkward to watch.
[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, save for a couple choice moments of just weirdness in the accent, which
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_02]: she's always, he's still struggling with it.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_02]: It does feel like he's trying to imitate an actor.
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It definitely feels like he's trying to imitate like an older style of like more 40s or 50s sort
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_02]: of like the great British prenatal career.
[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I would say not what's it called?
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Ealing studios type actor.
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, right.
[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Like maybe peer sellers.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's like what he's trying to pull.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, sure.
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_03]: There's somebody yelling comedy.
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's this is what we'll have for him now.
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_03]: He knows how fucking George works.
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_03]: He knows how little he's going to be given.
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_03]: He knows he's playing off the green thing.
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_02]: This is the thing.
[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_02]: He feels the most comfortable where I with.
[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_02]: It's still not great, but with the bad dial I'm going to green screen.
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I think he, he's got a handle on it.
[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Also, it's a good performance though.
[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to vote for it to be a good performance.
[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_02]: No, let's give him a good.
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's a great character.
[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's doing really good work and he definitely gets our most improved award.
[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Good night and day.
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm looking.
[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_02]: What about Samuel Jackson?
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_02]: What we'll get through him.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll get to him.
[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_02]: But we should, we should mention that if we don't agree, Ben has to split the time.
[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Ben has to split the time of course.
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_03]: They call him the tie splitter.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's another nickname.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_02]: They do.
[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Number two.
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Number two.
[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Natalie Portman.
[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, how she's credited by the way.
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Just Pad, man.
[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Not in the BRA, not on Medala, not Senator.
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Just Pad, man.
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Just Pad, man.
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_03]: At least on IMDB.
[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_02]: We gave her a bad rating.
[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we gave her a bad, that's a sympathetic bad.
[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we know her.
[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Very strange role and you got the dual role in Phantom.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Which is odd.
[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_02]: The accent.
[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_02]: The accent, the costumes.
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: She is worse in this mode.
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I would agree with you.
[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_02]: She's worse.
[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, she has, yeah.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: She has a lot of things going against her.
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_02]: She's got hating Christians and bringing her down.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_03]: She's mostly asked to play romantic scenes
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_03]: and the actors she's paired with,
[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_03]: the two of them have no chemistry to get.
[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_03]: They have no chemistry.
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_02]: And that can all be unhated.
[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Natalie, come on now.
[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It takes two to non-tango.
[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I'm saying?
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to, okay.
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, I'm interested.
[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of Natalie Portman's romantic partners in films over the years.
[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_02]: So we've got Chris Hemsworth in the Thor movie.
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I think she has a fair amount of chemistry with.
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_02]: But then she's very loose, very light.
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_02]: She's good.
[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_02]: And there's a lot of fun with that stuff.
[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But she's also playing a very specific type of chemistry with him.
[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Which is that she's like the 13-year-old girl in love with the high school quarterback.
[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Like her whole attitude in those movies that she's just sort of like an ambrit
[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_03]: of him, like who he had over heels.
[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_03]: But she's very fun in that.
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I think she's fun in them.
[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm trying to think we've got your highness remember that move.
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't get right.
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Not a ton of chemistry.
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_02]: No.
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_02]: No strings attached with Ashton.
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Ashton Cooch.
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I think she's kind of pulling that one over.
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think so too.
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I think she's actually doing some heavy lifting on that one.
[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree with you.
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I feel like there hasn't, this is what I'm saying.
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there's been a ton, closer of, yeah.
[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_03]: But that's like I've, I'm moving about people who hate each other.
[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just being angry at each other and ostensibly loving each other.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Other Belingo, that's one of the worst movies I've made.
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Never seen that.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Never seen that.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_02]: They're in a band.
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Like this is what I'm saying.
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_02]: She doesn't have a lot of like straight up romantic roles outside of no strings attached
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_02]: and the Thor movies.
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Does she have a romantic interest in where the heart is?
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_02]: If she does, it's a minor plot line.
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's really, it's mostly she's having that bait.
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_02]: I haven't seen that movie.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Or if I have, I forgot it.
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: If she does, it's a minor one.
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_03]: That's all I'm saying.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_03]: So, I mean, look, that might not be her strong suit.
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_02]: It might not, but it definitely is not her strong suit in Star Wars episode two attack of the clones.
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do want to give, um, and that's basically all she does like you say.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I like her in the action scene at the end.
[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And I, I've spoken about this.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I do like her performance in that final scene where she finally tells him that she loved
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_03]: him before they go out into the arena.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I do too.
[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it plays like a, um, a young.
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that one scene, the actual subtext of who this character isn't what she's gone through
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_03]: actually comes before in the performance where it's like, this is a little girl who's thrown into crazy circumstances.
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think that scene, she plays it in this very, very sweet,
[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_03]: and she anyone kind of way where she's just like, a girl being like,
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I just like love you.
[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And she like can't stop crying.
[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't make sense why she loves him.
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but she convincingly plays someone who is in love in that moment.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that one scene.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to give her perhaps that one scene is not a good performance.
[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not good.
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not a good performance.
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_03]: We have to move on.
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Put it down for her.
[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_02]: We have to move on to hate in Christians.
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Bad performance.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a bad performance.
[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a terrible performance.
[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the most ruinous performance in the film.
[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Infant them, who would you give that award to?
[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Would it be out of my bed?
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure, would it be Jake Lloyd?
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I would say Jake Lloyd.
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, interesting.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_02]: So, wow.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_02]: So Anakin's really the millstone in these movies.
[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I really think this character is badly written.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's terribly written.
[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's especially, they're trying to justify some huge pay off.
[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's so baffling because he's mostly just kind of a boring annoying little tool.
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He's also massively different between the two.
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like it's essentially two separate characters both of whom suck in writing and performance.
[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And both of whom the movie is obsessed with and you're not totally sure why.
[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a crazy universe.
[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Are we missing something?
[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're missing something.
[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't fucking get it.
[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're definitely missing something.
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Both of these.
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, specifically to that character.
[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I also think it's weird that these movies are so much about how powerful he is and
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_03]: we don't see that many examples.
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you know what I'm saying?
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, he's like good at flying a speed.
[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a sponsor.
[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, right.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You're not seeing like, oh, he's a Jedi who's like really getting a grasp on these things.
[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's bad.
[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a bad performance.
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it.
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it.
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_02]: We only talk about it anymore.
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Next, Chris Frily is Count Ducu slash Darth Terranis.
[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is a great performance.
[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the best performance in the film by far.
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It is.
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_03]: There's one candidate that I'd maybe throw up.
[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we'll get to that one.
[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_02]: But I think this is the poem for like last time I was like maybe a little too
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_02]: a few sub-abouty in McDermott.
[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say, I mean, McDermott has less to do in it.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe vote that McDermott's the best performance.
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Just because this character is so good.
[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I think Chris Frily is handed the same platter of shit that everyone else gives him is.
[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Really, really bad.
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, it's like, okay, you need to walk into the room and just deliver
[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Reams of exposition.
[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, front of all right.
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_02]: In front of a green screen.
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's just like, yep.
[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Watch me nail it.
[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You have to first of gear 20 minutes before the end of the two.
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Talk about the whole movie.
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_02]: You walk into a room and you just start spouting exposition.
[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_02]: To have suspended non-interested non-responsive characters.
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a class act.
[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It is masterful.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: It's masterful.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_02]: And then you're going to fight a cartoon, green like old man and you're going to
[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_02]: make that work too.
[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a good footwork, good for him.
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that he's sort of doing more classical sort of like because his light
[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_03]: saber, shape differently.
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not like this light.
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got this curve like this.
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's the same though because the blade is the same.
[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh no question.
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: But the form of how it feels.
[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It changes the way he fights.
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I design standpoint.
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_03]: It makes no sense whatsoever.
[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But whereas all the other light saber is it tends to be a two hand kind of like classics.
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_03]: So we're trading this kind of thing.
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_03]: This is more like fencing like he's sticking the one arm out and kind of doing that.
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And maybe that's to compensate for his lack of mobility, his an older man.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_02]: But it works.
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It gives him more power and actually makes him more terrifying because he's just so
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: controls and so old school.
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a great fucking performance.
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean he's like turning like it's like it's like it's just like it's like it's
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: like turning into wine.
[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's water into wine.
[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_02]: It's poop into one.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's poop into one.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_03]: He's turning diarrhea into poop wine.
[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_02]: So we're he's a good.
[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a good Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu.
[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_02]: See this is interesting.
[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_02]: He is fifth bill.
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Where did we land on Samuel Jackson last time?
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember.
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we even had no because he's really boring in a noise.
[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_02]: He was kind of a going to start up a going to.
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, cause you're kind of like good actors got a lot of presence.
[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and you're like well he's fine.
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_02]: But what is this?
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Why is he doesn't think any fucking sense.
[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like the second banana in the boring council of weirdos.
[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And then this movie gives him a lot of what to do and I still don't know where
[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_03]: the fuck I stand on who is this guy?
[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I kind of like him in this movie because I look more.
[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like him more, I mean he has more to do so.
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_02]: He's got some scenes with Yoda where they're kind of chatting like.
[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't like a lot of like oh boy this is not going well for us.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's something that they're like second banana more like their rigs in murder.
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they're like the two guys who are like trying to solve the case.
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Or it's like they're like the mayor and the control.
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_02]: And they're like just they're like they've been handling it.
[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm totally and they've been handed this like terrible situation like this budgetary nightmare.
[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_02]: How do we fix this?
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_02]: We don't know.
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Then the anti-esum action.
[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Well even that's what I'd say.
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_03]: This movie kind of is part of his own.
[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Justifies his character a little more.
[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_03]: There's the line earlier where they go like master Yoda and known for his whiz master
[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_03]: window and known for his power.
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like oh that's his role.
[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the fucking most power.
[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the enforcer.
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the enforcer but he's got the fucking skills to pay the bills.
[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And even when he walks in says party over parties over lime which is the fucking garbage line of poop.
[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Who's dialogue?
[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Dribal terrible.
[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I do like the idea it's like okay these Jedi's are like their enforcers of the peace.
[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but he's the guy you don't want to fuck with and he comes in and starts fucking shit up.
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I do like that.
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you can finally get a sense of who he is as a human being.
[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Because it's a little bit more than the last time.
[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_03]: But then it's like he's got these anger problems that he's got on lock.
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: But like he's like the fucking Hulk and like if you let him go he's going to start cutting heads off.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_02]: We're giving him a good.
[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no thanks so let's give him a bad.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Step your game of snow art you know what he's fine George right Sim Terribly he's all right.
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Now where are you?
[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Where are you on this?
[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we got to sort of bend on this one.
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait a second.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we're both tied.
[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think both the boss are tied.
[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to say something.
[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to say something.
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Samuel Jackson is he can be given to overactive.
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You know there's a lot of directors I think shotier directors who are just like why don't I just cut him.
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to lose for a couple scenes.
[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_02]: The rantan rave like he's done so many times and like that'll save the scene even though like
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_02]: it's and he doesn't do that.
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And another thing like he's playing a character in this movie.
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you know like he's keeping it restrained he has a whole thing.
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_02]: He's not just at once seem just like yes, he deserved to die and I hope they burn
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_02]: and hell he doesn't do that.
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'll say he also does like have a tendency to show him.
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, George Michael.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, George Michael is a terrible director of actors.
[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's other things.
[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I met him though he's very nice.
[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I audition for him three times.
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, for which movie Phantom was it called 12?
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, right, right.
[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah and every time I came in he gave me completely different notes of the last time.
[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And I just have to share this story because this is the last.
[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_03]: This is my third audition for him.
[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Right?
[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, yes, I'm going to get some but every time it's a different character.
[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And the first time he goes to the big like you and then bring him back.
[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Because Griffin, I think you're playing it way too serious.
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think these people are very funny.
[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I find these kids very humorous.
[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So really find the humor in it.
[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So I like do that.
[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I get a call back and I'm like, okay man.
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_03]: They want your fucking joke jokes skills.
[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Find the humor and I go in and I do fun to the call right.
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, you know, Griffin, these are real people.
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_03]: So we have to take them seriously.
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Right?
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So then I get a second call back.
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I have a third audition for each time I'm reading maybe two or three different characters.
[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to have you read Jimmy.
[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have you read Ghost Boy like whatever the character is.
[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a troubled quote unquote troubled upper west side rich kids in New York is the movie.
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And so there are just like every young actor in New York.
[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_03]: The third time I go in and I was like, because I was like, I need to know it.
[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_03]: My funny and my serious.
[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_03]: So I like kind of just try to ask like, I'm just trying to figure out like what the basic tone
[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_03]: of how you want this character to play is.
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And he just pause as he goes, you know, Griffin,
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I think asking how to act is a little like asking, you know, how to have sex.
[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_03]: You can't really ask what you need to be doing right.
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think if in the moment you're just going, is this good?
[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Does this feel good?
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not good.
[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_03]: You just have to go.
[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I see what that is.
[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I went, oh, all I ever do is ask people while I'm having sex with them.
[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You said to them, I was correct.
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_03]: That's good.
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I kind of feel like that.
[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, let's try.
[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But he didn't get any.
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Josh Schumacher's note is that acting should be like fucking and you shouldn't think about what you're doing and just try to make something come.
[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I met him at a screening.
[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_03]: He was very nice.
[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_03]: He was very nice to be clear.
[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_03]: So nice.
[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a great reputation.
[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Like actors love him.
[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Just why I think he, and he brings in things like on budget on time.
[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a solid bad director.
[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_02]: He's made some decent movies, but he's made a lot of movies.
[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like falling down.
[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I know it's a kind of, falling down.
[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a lightning grat of a film.
[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_02]: But I actually think it's well made.
[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I like Tigerland.
[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I think Tigerland is good.
[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I kind of like a time to kill as much as I was just dragging out.
[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_02]: It's got a fun movie.
[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_03]: For those who tuning in.
[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I just seen James Schumacher performance review on what we go through every Joel Fume.
[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I've seen Batman forever probably 25 times.
[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I hate that.
[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's terrible.
[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen Batman a robin' more than Batman forever.
[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I just can't even put it.
[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I've seen Batman forever so many times because I loved it when I was ten years old.
[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we should do a Batman forever.
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway.
[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_00]: So that was another installment of Griffin and David kind of alienating themselves.
[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_02]: But I met him once at the London Film Festival Screening of 21 Grounds.
[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And he was the nicest.
[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_02]: He, I met him.
[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like a director.
[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I met who doesn't, it doesn't make great movies, but was so nice.
[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And the another one is Chris Columbus.
[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you acted pretty cool.
[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Chris Columbus seems to go real mad.
[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I met him at the DVD release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_02]: He wrote about those movies for the Daily News.
[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Because when we let him Britain and he said he's really nice and he's really, really nice.
[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I will say this does fit into Ben, you were saying we're alienating the audience.
[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_03]: This does fit into why I think he's becoming the larger, overarching narrative of Griffin David presents with our friend Ramona playing out to us, which is just people who will now never hire Griffin.
[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, right, right.
[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm fine.
[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_03]: You're, I'm a critic.
[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_03]: You're a critic.
[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_03]: This is your job.
[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Ben's just a fucking Ben docer.
[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a lot.
[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm not looking pixels to anymore.
[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_02]: No one's looking pixels to.
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, pixels to as in-picking pixels.
[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Why are we talking about social shumans?
[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Because it's a little Jackson's performance.
[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say the other, you're saying he can just yell a lot and throw it on the force.
[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_03]: The other thing he can do is load on a bunch of texts.
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: He's given an underwritten character.
[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_03]: He just fucking designs.
[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It comes up some weird look and a bunch of weird affectations at the expense of figuring out actual human being underneath any of that.
[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And this is, I mean, one could argue two a false, but in a way,
[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_03]: respectable, one of the least ticky performance as I've ever been doing.
[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_02]: He's not doing any strange names.
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_02]: It's all look.
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_02]: It's all looks great.
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_02]: It's all presents.
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_02]: He carries the robes off bed and then anyone he is bald.
[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, because sometimes Sam will actually have like a weird beard.
[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_02]: You'll have some sort of funny hair do you?
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03]: He does fucking design elements to make up the lack of a character.
[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or God.
[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_02]: He has, I would love to do a whole feet trying to glass his Samuel Jackson is worn at various movies.
[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I mean, Sam Jackson who has no hair.
[00:29:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's bald man.
[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Has a hair guy and every single movie he's like, I want to do something different.
[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a guy where it's just like, can we do something with my facial hair with a collar with what I do have like,
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I every movie.
[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Like Jeremy Pivot and a few other actors.
[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_02]: He's an actor who has gotten younger as the time has passed.
[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_02]: No, that's not that I think that's now reversing because he's actually quite old now.
[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_02]: But now really, yes.
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_02]: May swim due.
[00:30:05] [SPEAKER_02]: He looks like he could be 35.
[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_02]: He's probably like 55 or something.
[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, whereas jungle fever 20 years ago he looks like he's 100 years old.
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, fuck it.
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I like his performance.
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we talk about him.
[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I love Sam Jackson.
[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I like Sam Jackson.
[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_02]: He's the bad guy.
[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_02]: He's doing good work.
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, Sam Jackson gets a yes.
[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_02]: He gets a next prank aus this Yoda.
[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And once again, we talked about this.
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Is this a prank?
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a prank!
[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I was playing this character.
[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh God.
[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Frankos, fame puppeteer.
[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_03]: A great filmmaker in his own right.
[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_03]: He's okay.
[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_03]: As a filmmaker, puppeteer.
[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Filmmaker.
[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Great puppeteer.
[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's made like-
[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_02]: For movies I love.
[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_02]: As much as he made the puppet movies.
[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_02]: But he also loves a movie.
[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_02]: He also loves a movie.
[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_02]: And he made the puppet movies.
[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, those are great.
[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And he made the engine in the cupboard, which I think is pretty good.
[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a movie I think is incredibly solid.
[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm saying you look at the movie.
[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not gonna say what about Bob, which is interesting.
[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I forgot about it.
[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Mobisigman had in low shop horrors in both finger and maybe three of my 50 favorite movies ever.
[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Fair enough.
[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I got in and out.
[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_03]: In and out is another solid one for solid.
[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I like it and out.
[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I like what about Bob a lot.
[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I like in the cupboard.
[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Just that after both finger, he made the score,
[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Stefford wife's death at a funeral.
[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_02]: He made three little three turds.
[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, the people fall off.
[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just interesting.
[00:31:20] [SPEAKER_02]: It just created this.
[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_02]: It just created this.
[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the score came out.
[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And if it was like this is it.
[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_02]: He got brando.
[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Then he got brando's air.
[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_02]: The neuro.
[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Then he got the neuro's air.
[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Edward Norton.
[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_02]: He was unquestionably the air apparent at that.
[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_02]: And I like Edward Norton and I'm always interested in what he has to do.
[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_02]: But he is not De Niro's air.
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_02]: No, he's not a mental air.
[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_02]: No, he's not mental air.
[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a horse to bed.
[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And also that movie is horseshit.
[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so bad.
[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I was telling someone this is just a podcast.
[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And all of us telling stories about other movies and other directors.
[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_03]: This is what performance of you is.
[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I was telling my friends Sarah a story the other day.
[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I think is incredible.
[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_03]: So Brando hated Frank.
[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Interesting.
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Did you expect and didn't he do it with his pants off?
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_02]: This story.
[00:32:03] [SPEAKER_03]: So Brando from day one agreed to do the movie.
[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_03]: How did he say $5 million movie?
[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I think God, was it his very last game?
[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It might have been.
[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's his last island.
[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_00]: No, that was before.
[00:32:16] [SPEAKER_00]: That would be his last.
[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_03]: He was supposed to do scary movie too right after this.
[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_03]: They were going to pay him like $7 million to be the opening scene of scary movie too.
[00:32:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And he showed up on set with a respirator tank and could barely breathe.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And was like, I'm ready.
[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's going to be the last movie.
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's going to be the last movie.
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's going to be the last movie.
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He's just Chris.
[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So that's more on the show.
[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_03]: That's you count Superman Returns.
[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He's great.
[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_03]: He is great in that.
[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_03]: He agrees to do the film.
[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_03]: They pay him a lot of money.
[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_03]: He shows what in the first day Frank Oz gives him a note because I'm not fucking
[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_03]: listening to your mispicky.
[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_02]: It's funny that he knows that.
[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, living on his weird tropical island with all his creepy lady like servants or whatever.
[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, no, I know this guy is mispicky.
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I'm trying to do the movie.
[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Anytime exactly.
[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Anytime Frank Oz is like, okay, so for this one, I think we're going to do a start off with a
[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_03]: wide and he's like, no, you must piggy went out to watch.
[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_03]: So two incredible things happen.
[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_03]: What is that for the entire duration of the shoot of the score?
[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Robert and Ero is every day wearing a microscopic earpiece and Frank Oz whispers into
[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_03]: He's not only a great director, he's a great actor.
[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So he's acting like he's not a director.
[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the incredible performance.
[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd love to watch that show.
[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_02]: We got one of this for the score.
[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And then the Oscars did that every year.
[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Be great.
[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Best like bullshit.
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, from an actor like pretending to like someone.
[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And then, yeah, the story you were building up to is there was one shot where
[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_03]: there was one scene where Brando believed it should be played entirely in a close-up.
[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_03]: He was like, this is my emotional beat.
[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to entirely in a close-up and nothing else with no edits and no coverage.
[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And Frank Oz was like, I want to why it took like get us into the scene.
[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And Brando was like, nope, only close up.
[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:34:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Frank Oz was like, I need a wide.
[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And Brando was like, okay, let me go back to my trailer and train.
[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_03]: What he did is brilliant.
[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And he was just been 80 years old at this point.
[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_03]: He can barely walk.
[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_03]: He looks like, uh, jabber the hut, uh, noted, uh, Gorg, uh, spitter from the Phantom
[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Anas.
[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He does.
[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He looks terrible.
[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, he comes out on set just with no pants and no one pants.
[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_03]: He's just wearing a shirt and then his dick involves her hanging.
[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe I imagine they're obscured by his massive gut.
[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_03]: His dick and balls are in the win.
[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_02]: There is.
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_02]: There's so much.
[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_02]: His ass is hanging.
[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_02]: They are hitting fresh hair.
[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Why they're not there visible depends on what you're where you're standing in relation
[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_03]: to his tummy.
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_03]: But his dick involves no or out.
[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And he goes, oh, okay, I'm ready for that wide shot.
[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And they just can't do it because the wide shot.
[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Did no one say like, Oh, could you put your pants on then we need your pants to be on
[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_02]: face.
[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm ready.
[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I've got the gollist.
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, Frank, I was going to come down.
[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't even drive Brando.
[00:35:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm running in Brando.
[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, next is Ian McDermott.
[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_03]: But for I do, Frank, I was just a director and the director made it amazing.
[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_03]: But I weird miss you so him and you know what?
[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got such good comic time and why play haven't played such a fucking stiff.
[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You're sure he'd kind of funny.
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_02]: He has the one light moment when he is talking with the young links and
[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Obi-Wan where he's kind of being a little playful.
[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I almost like that same system.
[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I almost like that same.
[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but fucking.
[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a shitty character.
[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not like a.
[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Ian McDermott is poppin team.
[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_02]: We're still giving him a thumbs up.
[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_02]: He's way less to do this.
[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_02]: But he does kind of creepy.
[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_03]: He does everything he's asked to do.
[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_03]: That's true.
[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I will say, I feel like the character arc of what's happening to Palpatine on the sidelines of these two films is more interesting than what's happening front and center in these two films.
[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Wish there was more of it.
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_03]: He's given.
[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the most solid performance.
[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_03]: He's changing an entire galaxy.
[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And how his humanity deals with it?
[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the masks, the covers, the layers of what he's playing.
[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Talking about both sides around, I think.
[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I wish we had more of him.
[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's a solid good.
[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_03]: A thumbs up for you Ian.
[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations Ian.
[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Pernellargas, this is Shemisqa'er.
[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_02]: She's still good.
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she's still good.
[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_03]: She, I mean, she is.
[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's, yeah.
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know what?
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's a tough scene too.
[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It is.
[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_03]: She's got a long scene.
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_03]: She's got a dark day.
[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_03]: She's not.
[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what it is?
[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a good performance.
[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_02]: No, she's a dumb-self for Pernellar.
[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm angry that that's all they give her to do.
[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a good performance.
[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_02]: To Muramarasen, it's Django Fett.
[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_02]: The great to Muramarasen, the New Zealand actor, he's a mahesemari.
[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a really tough one.
[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's okay.
[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_02]: In his one scene with them, Helmet off.
[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_02]: He projects some a little bit of menace.
[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_03]: The scene in his quarters when he's talking to Obi-Wan.
[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's some interesting tension there.
[00:37:40] [SPEAKER_03]: That feels like a real scene of two actors acting against each other.
[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Unlike all the other scenes of the movie.
[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a little bit.
[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a little touch of like, oh right, that's why it's good to have actors in movies
[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_03]: because you get tension, you get energy from the interplay of the two of them.
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_03]: There's like an actual back and forth there that's kind of interesting.
[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Kind of interesting.
[00:37:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Can we say he's good?
[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Most of the movie is wearing a fucking helmet.
[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Even the sidelines is mostly a physical before.
[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like the one.
[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_02]: He's all right.
[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_02]: He's all right.
[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I think good is strong.
[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, I think bad is strong.
[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's give him a thumbs up.
[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to give me a thumbs down.
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give you a thumbs down.
[00:38:20] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to break this time.
[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Break this time.
[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is tough.
[00:38:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Right?
[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Because he's not bad and he's not good.
[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Right, he really is down the middle.
[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got moments of both.
[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to think when he leading up to his death.
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Is there any kind of interaction with being him in his son?
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, absolutely not.
[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_03]: He's standing at the little box with Dukeu and he's like,
[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_03]: go out there, get him.
[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Put this helmet on.
[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Go get his head sliced off.
[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_03]: For how much they make a point of being like a JangoFet had only one request.
[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's to raise a clone of his own.
[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_03]: You never really see any.
[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_03]: A emotional bomb between the two of them.
[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I feel like it doesn't get resolved at all or you know.
[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_00]: No kind of real showing of that relationship, father, son, whatever the fuck is it?
[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_03]: What is it like does he just want this kid so he can train him?
[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Does he actually care about him?
[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Is he lonely?
[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Like that one scene that is kind of good in how he plays off of you and McGregor.
[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He's given nothing off the kid.
[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he's just going like a Jango hit the door.
[00:39:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Very, very, very restrained to all internal.
[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Kind of kind of something.
[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, but he's a bad guy, right?
[00:39:36] [SPEAKER_00]: He's a bad guy and he's a bad guy and he is not.
[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_00]: He's kind of menacing like you said kind of.
[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know in a fan to me way.
[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_00]: If you compare him to the performers of Christopher Lee,
[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_00]: who's like a great bad guy.
[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man, I think his reason is.
[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Got it.
[00:39:51] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, give me a note.
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say bad.
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_03]: He never really feels like a threat.
[00:39:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_02]: That's fair.
[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's very fair.
[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry to you.
[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_02]: You're great in other movies once more.
[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Your is a great movie.
[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's almost a good performance, but we just fall on bad and a lot of it was once again the hand you were dealt.
[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_03]: George Lucas is dealing now poop who cards.
[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_02]: That is very true.
[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You got the ace of poops.
[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_03]: My friend.
[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Jimmy Smith.
[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Senator Varylord.
[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Now that we have not talked about this.
[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_03]: No, we haven't talked about this at all.
[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We haven't talked about this at all.
[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_03]: A lot of weird one.
[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_03]: So, Jenny Smith at this point is right off of him like pt blue.
[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And Ellie, look, you're talking about 10, 15 years as one of America's top TV hunks.
[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_02]: He's got emmies.
[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got golden clothes.
[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_03]: He's like just left and why pt blue before coming on this.
[00:40:34] [SPEAKER_03]: So at this point, we're like, this is one of the steadiest presences of the small screen.
[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_03]: We love him.
[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_03]: He was on fucking, uh, maybe vice too.
[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_02]: No, Ellie law.
[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Wasn't he on a man's vice for a couple episodes?
[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I know he wasn't a regular on LA law.
[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not a f-
[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't regular on LA law.
[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I know he was a regular on LA law.
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I know he wasn't a regular on Miami vice.
[00:40:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he had an arc.
[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_02]: You fucking don't.
[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_02]: He's in brother's keeper, which is the greatest.
[00:40:57] [SPEAKER_02]: He's the only the one episode, but he's in that episode, which is the greatest.
[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, nice.
[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, which is the greatest.
[00:41:01] [SPEAKER_02]: It looks like it's his first credit too, which is crazy.
[00:41:04] [SPEAKER_03]: So that's why I remembered.
[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_02]: It was a good episode.
[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the pilot.
[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Very quick.
[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to interject, but you guys realize that you just set up someone by being like,
[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Just coming off and why pt blue.
[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Who knows this stuff?
[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_00]: That's too ridiculous.
[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_03]: You're a big show.
[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And why pt blue people loved it.
[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_03]: People loved it.
[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_03]: LA law.
[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_03]: He was a hunk dejoer.
[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He jumped straight onto another hit.
[00:41:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Steers it into the golden land, a hit hitsville.
[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure he replaced David Cruz.
[00:41:35] [SPEAKER_02]: So let's you know that.
[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_02]: So do you know, and why people who has one big season with Dekaroo.
[00:41:39] [SPEAKER_02]: So Cruz is a big star.
[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_02]: He jumps ship.
[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Gooseby.
[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Don't fucking scoff at us.
[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_02]: This is an important narrative.
[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_01]: He's in jay.
[00:41:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Guys are great together.
[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And why pt blue.
[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone's like, it's all thanks to that Karusa.
[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Karusa is got it.
[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_02]: You're next big star.
[00:41:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Karusa is like, I'm too big for this town.
[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to Hollywood.
[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_02]: So income smith.
[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And Karusa leaves everyone goes, ah, fucking you can't do blue without Karusa.
[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You might as well call it and why pt Karoo.
[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_03]: You might as well.
[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_03]: People thought the show was mad because of his head.
[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Because of his head.
[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And why pt.
[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's crazy.
[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And they bring in smiths where smiths do.
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Takes it to the next level.
[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, it's my surprise.
[00:42:21] [SPEAKER_03]: They handed him.
[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a man.
[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Who has been handed a deck of shitty cars before?
[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's fucking one.
[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_03]: He swept the table.
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Guy knows how to play.
[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Fucking good movies too.
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_03]: He was in.
[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, what?
[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_03]: American me?
[00:42:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Great movie.
[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a great movie.
[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good.
[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good.
[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_02]: My family.
[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good movie.
[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_03]: There's like this major like a movement of Latino dramas.
[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Like independent Latino dramas in the 90s and 80s.
[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's starring in a lot of them doing really good work in important films.
[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_03]: They're changing a national conversation.
[00:42:56] [SPEAKER_03]: You fucking idiot Ben.
[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_02]: How is he in Star Wars episode 2?
[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Not good.
[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a senator.
[00:43:04] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like a nice senator.
[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like a peaceful senator.
[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that the idea?
[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he doesn't want war.
[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_02]: He's I'd say maybe he's like a friend in Adley Portman's of Padmese.
[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd say he's maybe too low key in this role.
[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You're kind of like, well, it's also you're just like, wow, there's Jimmy Smith.
[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_02]: What's he going to play to nothing?
[00:43:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a senator.
[00:43:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if we should do this.
[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, Jimmy thumbs down.
[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_03]: It sounds like a senator.
[00:43:24] [SPEAKER_02]: But you know what ever even since my god, you know, he was in Dexter.
[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_02]: He was in Cuban sugar plantation drama, cane.
[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes.
[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it was key.
[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it was Miami.
[00:43:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I forget where he said.
[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_02]: He was in that show outlaw where he played an ex Supreme Court Justice who starts a law firm.
[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_02]: It was terrible.
[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_02]: West Wayne.
[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_02]: He played the president.
[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Of course he was in West Wayne.
[00:43:43] [SPEAKER_02]: And then he was in Sons of Anarchy.
[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_03]: What film work has done recently?
[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I liked Jimmy on the big screen recently.
[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really?
[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_02]: You liked him in a movie?
[00:43:52] [SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't do many, but I thought I recently saw him in a film.
[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Six to TV.
[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Why don't we get more of your handsome face?
[00:43:58] [SPEAKER_02]: He was in the Jane Austen book club.
[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_02]: It didn't.
[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't in all.
[00:44:02] [SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't do movies.
[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a movie called Mother in Child.
[00:44:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_03]: That's really good now.
[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the one.
[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's a Rodrigo.
[00:44:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I do remember this movie.
[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_02]: We're at Rodrigo Garcia movie.
[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Gums down.
[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Jack Thompson is Cleaglars.
[00:44:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Jack Thompson is Cleaglars.
[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, Jack Thompson is an Australian actor like a lot of the supporting actors in this movie.
[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_02]: So he's just a pretty well-known Australian character.
[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_02]: He has a very long career.
[00:44:34] [SPEAKER_02]: He starts in 1968 and he's in a lot of Australian TV shows.
[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's in a lot of movies I've never heard of.
[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_02]: And then he's in a TV movie based on Kojack.
[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, so many things.
[00:44:48] [SPEAKER_02]: He's the chairman of the Joint Chiefs for Staff in Broken Arrow.
[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm really, I'm thinking about this performance because he's a lot of stuff.
[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's, he's put interesting position on this one, right?
[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Anakin.
[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a lot to do.
[00:45:01] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got it.
[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_03]: But get, yes.
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead.
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_03]: What he's got a lot to do is the audience is going to be reading into his every word.
[00:45:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Every little bit of energy he's throwing at, right?
[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Anakin's getting nightmares as mothers and trouble.
[00:45:14] [SPEAKER_03]: They go back to tattooing.
[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Wato is like we sold him to a man.
[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_03]: She has a new slave owner.
[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I heard he married her.
[00:45:23] [SPEAKER_03]: We hear that.
[00:45:24] [SPEAKER_03]: We're like, I don't know what to fucking make of that.
[00:45:26] [SPEAKER_03]: That could be any sort of relationship.
[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Like what Wato is telling us,
[00:45:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Wato is not to be trusted.
[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it an abusive relationship?
[00:45:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it consential?
[00:45:33] [SPEAKER_03]: He felt in love.
[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_03]: He fucking owns her.
[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_03]: What kind of guy is this?
[00:45:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Totally true.
[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Anakin's getting on a speeder by he's going to meet his new stepdad.
[00:45:42] [SPEAKER_03]: We never met before.
[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't even know existed who owns his mother.
[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And so you're getting in there, like what kind of fucking guy is this?
[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And here comes a dude who's like steady as a rock.
[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Steady as a rock.
[00:45:56] [SPEAKER_02]: You totally believe like this is in man of honor and dignity.
[00:46:00] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a real decent.
[00:46:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It helps in his life.
[00:46:02] [SPEAKER_02]: He has like the missing legs so you're like, all right, I can't, you know.
[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But even he's a real straight shooter.
[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_03]: He takes a lot of laid and die lucky.
[00:46:08] [SPEAKER_03]: He makes it all sound very natural and very from the heart.
[00:46:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I forget if you've seen Game of Thrones, you watched Game of Thrones?
[00:46:13] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's he on it?
[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_02]: No, he's not on it but then I want to watch.
[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And Game of Thrones.
[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Dits, Thompson or nothing for a group of Newman.
[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_02]: There's a character in Game of Thrones who's like kind of similar.
[00:46:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Old permit lives out way out and the waste with some cocky buttons.
[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's creepy.
[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this guy could be like that.
[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, he kind of like abducted Shmeen to his weird like Mormon call 100%.
[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the total opposite.
[00:46:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And even going into the scene we hear, okay, they fell in love.
[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_03]: They got married.
[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going, I don't know.
[00:46:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking for signs.
[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to make sure this guy is on the level, you know?
[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And in a movie where everyone else is almost always introduced by going,
[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_03]: it's another character going, hey, this is a bad guy.
[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And now introducing a good person.
[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_03]: We get it immediately.
[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Here you get context, right?
[00:46:59] [SPEAKER_03]: You go, here's what happened with this guy and you go,
[00:47:01] [SPEAKER_03]: oh, I don't know what kind of guy that is.
[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And his job as an actor is to show you what kind of man he is through temperament.
[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Through decency of soul.
[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, just little, little fucking nuanced signs.
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Of the humanity, the edges of this man.
[00:47:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think he pulls it off with a plumb.
[00:47:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I do too.
[00:47:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I think this is a good performance.
[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I think this is maybe the underrated performance.
[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you're going crazy.
[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_03]: The underrated performance.
[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You're going to be crazy.
[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_03]: You're going to be crazy.
[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to give him a good.
[00:47:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I like this section of the movie too and I think it's because we're steady hand.
[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I love this section of the movie, because if the feature is a hating Christian
[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Sin is Anakin Skywalker.
[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_02]: That is it, it's it.
[00:47:44] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a good counter.
[00:47:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Like all the other sections that except for the front,
[00:47:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we both agree the best part of the movie is the best 20 more.
[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And especially with Colin Scott's edits, his silence edit.
[00:47:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Just mail that right to Lucasfilm right now.
[00:47:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Alright, next is Leanna Walsman, a Zam Wessel, the assassin.
[00:48:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The changeling assassin.
[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_02]: She's I think she's terrible.
[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I do too.
[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that this is a performance that could have been good.
[00:48:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Then this character is not scary.
[00:48:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Nope.
[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_02]: She doesn't seem very competent.
[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_02]: There's nothing coming off of this actor.
[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_03]: She also doesn't move very well.
[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Like for a character that's mostly a physical presence.
[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_03]: She I feel like her movements and these actions are kind of awkward.
[00:48:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And I know she's wearing a same type like purple, like fucking garbage.
[00:48:24] [SPEAKER_02]: We got a bit of bail over her face but still.
[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I feel a little bad because this is not a well-known actress.
[00:48:29] [SPEAKER_03]: This is not a well-known actress and it's not a well-developed role
[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_03]: and it's mostly her fucking in a cockpit, sort of a green screen, looking frazzled.
[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But she doesn't do it well.
[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying she's a bad actor.
[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a big point.
[00:48:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to make that.
[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_03]: She's not the best actor.
[00:48:43] [SPEAKER_03]: As if it need not be said.
[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_03]: We are not ranking whether or not definitively these actors are good or bad.
[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Just in this movie.
[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, of course.
[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_03]: We have very little to go off of with this woman otherwise.
[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_03]: No, because we're getting to it.
[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But this is not a good performance.
[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_03]: That's great if you see her in a little play house.
[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, man.
[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Who's afraid of a junior wolf?
[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_02]: But this is not a good performance.
[00:49:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it.
[00:49:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's put on a production of who's afraid of a junior wolf,
[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_02]: starring Leonne Walskman.
[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a great name.
[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, next up.
[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Ahmed Best.
[00:49:14] [SPEAKER_02]: But here's a revelation.
[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh boy.
[00:49:16] [SPEAKER_02]: He played Ahmed.
[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_02]: He played two characters.
[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Not whatever.
[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Ahmed Best.
[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_02]: There's no see it.
[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sort of naturally read that as Ahmed.
[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Ahmed.
[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Ahmed Best.
[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Cresine of course.
[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Two characters in this movie.
[00:49:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you know that?
[00:49:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I did know that.
[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I've been holding that secret this whole time.
[00:49:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Our jar banks and a character called Ahmed Beck.
[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I've been very aware of that.
[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't talked about that.
[00:49:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Who is in the bar, right?
[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's about to tie into another cast member that we're getting to later.
[00:49:45] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's in the Elon Sleeves bag and O scene.
[00:49:48] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a reaction shot after they chop off Sam Wessels arm.
[00:49:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I timed it.
[00:49:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It's literally, I mean, a second.
[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_03]: They cut to like our reaction shot.
[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_03]: He's standing at a table with a drink.
[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_03]: He's wearing a blue jumpsuit.
[00:50:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That kind of a marking on his face.
[00:50:05] [SPEAKER_02]: It's on a tattoo.
[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_03]: A merchandise spotlight.
[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_03]: This character did warrant an action figure.
[00:50:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you serious?
[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_03]: 100%.
[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And he has that weird name that is a bacterism.
[00:50:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It's what it's called.
[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, where they're naming it after Ahmed Beck.
[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Ahmed Beck.
[00:50:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_03]: They're, yeah.
[00:50:23] [SPEAKER_03]: They're a surprising amount of merchandise spotlight.
[00:50:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Action figures of that bar scene.
[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Interesting.
[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a good scene.
[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's like, Ellen Sleeves bag.
[00:50:31] [SPEAKER_03]: No, you can get.
[00:50:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He comes apart.
[00:50:33] [SPEAKER_03]: You could maybe assemble the full bar because they made all these bar patrons.
[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But like the boring ones of the backers.
[00:50:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's the action figure.
[00:50:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And they all come with like a little piece.
[00:50:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So you could like put together and make a little.
[00:50:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Whoa.
[00:50:43] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a male human president at the club.
[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_02]: He, along with his partner, Donnie Faitoni was posing or a
[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Republican security force officer attempted to con patrons out of their credits.
[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a program of attack of the clones.
[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_02]: There's so much going on here.
[00:51:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, later they conned the aspiring criminal,
[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Magaloof.
[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is just a bunch of bullshit.
[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to move on because when we get to Donnie Faitoni,
[00:51:09] [SPEAKER_03]: we'll be able to tie this in more.
[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I think this is an important note.
[00:51:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to the next class.
[00:51:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to that class number.
[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to save it as surprise.
[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's get to the next class.
[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Who's next on I'm to be?
[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Roseburn is dormant.
[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_02]: We're, we're giving on me.
[00:51:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Best of them.
[00:51:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Some time.
[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to make sure.
[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, of course.
[00:51:24] [SPEAKER_03]: No, we're not lunatics.
[00:51:25] [SPEAKER_03]: He's almost worse.
[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I do think he's pretty good in the bar.
[00:51:30] [SPEAKER_03]: He gives him meter.
[00:51:31] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a good look.
[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Understated look.
[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Roseburn is dormant.
[00:51:34] [SPEAKER_02]: She sucks.
[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_02]: She's bad.
[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I love Roseburn.
[00:51:37] [SPEAKER_03]: She said she has probably gone on to become the best actor of this entire cast of this film.
[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I think the most consistent actor in this having, she's having one of the most incredible runs.
[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_02]: It's so underrated.
[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Good and everything.
[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Elevator.
[00:51:50] [SPEAKER_03]: All material.
[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Complete in any genre, any size role, fully varied.
[00:51:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, is really like like a five tool player.
[00:51:58] [SPEAKER_03]: You know?
[00:51:59] [SPEAKER_03]: She is this old sort of movie star class.
[00:52:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you see any?
[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I watched a little bit of my plan.
[00:52:04] [SPEAKER_03]: She's fucking great.
[00:52:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And sure she is.
[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I just was wondering, I didn't see that.
[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like I don't understand that.
[00:52:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't believe she makes that work as much as she does.
[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_02]: But I love her and spy.
[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_02]: I love turn neighbors.
[00:52:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I love her in the incityous movies.
[00:52:14] [SPEAKER_02]: She's got real dramatic chops.
[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I love her and you know, I enjoyed her on damages.
[00:52:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I guess damages where she, I will,
[00:52:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Bridesmaids get into the Greek.
[00:52:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I am a macula accent work.
[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know what she's fantastic in his sunshine.
[00:52:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:52:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I love sunshine.
[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, and Roseburn is a strikingly beautiful woman.
[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Incredibly special.
[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I have often described her as having the perfect face.
[00:52:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I think she has the greatest face.
[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_03]: She's got a great face.
[00:52:44] [SPEAKER_02]: She's got a very sort of sculptured kind of face.
[00:52:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And classically beautiful.
[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_02]: In sunshine, like they managed to make her look like so
[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_02]: washed out and exhausted and stressed out.
[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_02]: She's been all about it seeming over the top.
[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, about being like this weird de-glance.
[00:52:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not like fucking like she just looks for a monster.
[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_03]: She looks like a real person.
[00:53:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's kind of quietly, uh, an interperformance.
[00:53:06] [SPEAKER_03]: How powerful.
[00:53:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a great performance.
[00:53:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's kind of quietly powerful because what the movie is saying
[00:53:10] [SPEAKER_03]: is like, yeah, this is an incredibly beautiful person who
[00:53:13] [SPEAKER_03]: is just handed like, you know, a winning ticket
[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_03]: from the genetic lottery.
[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_03]: But like, she's tired.
[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_03]: She's going to look tired.
[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_03]: She's tired.
[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they don't make her try to not,
[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_03]: they don't try to make her look less beautiful.
[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_03]: They just go, this is what this beautiful woman would
[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_03]: look like if she hadn't shoured and she's not eating very well.
[00:53:29] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's stuck on a ship where she's sweating all the time.
[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:53:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a great performance in a movie.
[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I love wholeheartedly.
[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I know a lot of people don't like the last act.
[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I love the whole thing.
[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Can we do a sunshine episode?
[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Would love to film.
[00:53:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I would love to film.
[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you want to hear a film?
[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:53:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's one of the best songs of that entire decade.
[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Me too.
[00:53:45] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a masterpiece.
[00:53:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, Rose Burn is great in Chris Evans.
[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Probably best performance of his career.
[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I would say he's so good in that.
[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_03]: So good in that.
[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll do a full sunshine episode.
[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_02]: This is best performance.
[00:53:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it might be.
[00:53:54] [SPEAKER_02]: It might be.
[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think about this.
[00:53:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I actually think he's great in the capture American movies.
[00:53:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I guess.
[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Four, four, what she does.
[00:54:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Very good.
[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Five scene, the crying scenes a little force.
[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it also just falls into like, you know, she was, uh, uh, not used to working
[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_03]: in a kind of environment.
[00:54:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm clearly, she has proven since then that she knows what she's doing.
[00:54:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Because Troy is after this, right?
[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Troy is the first movie I noticed her in.
[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and she's like solid, not, not, not.
[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_03]: So she's a great.
[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying, it's very, very difficult to act in a big, big fucking movie like this
[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_03]: because what tends to happen is, uh, less attention is paid on the acting than anything
[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_03]: else.
[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_03]: They're so worried about every other moving piece and they're giving you like,
[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_03]: for dialogue in a thousand cameras in your face and a thousand concerns and you don't
[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_03]: really have a character to play.
[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Very true.
[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_03]: If I like she pushed it a little too hard, but I think this is kind of a fascinating
[00:54:48] [SPEAKER_03]: performance because you see like through a couple, she starts out and all these big movies
[00:54:52] [SPEAKER_03]: where she has sort of small, unimportant roles and is strikingly beautiful but does
[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_03]: it really connect.
[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_02]: She doesn't connect for a while.
[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It's true.
[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, she has a long, uh, I am a debilist.
[00:55:02] [SPEAKER_02]: My God.
[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_03]: It feels like she may be learned movie by movie because once she got good it was like suddenly
[00:55:08] [SPEAKER_03]: she was only great and great every single time they're on average.
[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I forgot she's in I cast her the castle, which is fantastic.
[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And when we although it's Romo Gary who's sort of the, anyway.
[00:55:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Roseburn not good.
[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_03]: No, tag the clones.
[00:55:21] [SPEAKER_03]: One of our favorite living actresses and maybe this film, you know, is important as, uh,
[00:55:26] [SPEAKER_03]: a stepping stone for her learn what not to do and film.
[00:55:30] [SPEAKER_03]: She's, she started to figure out how she plays on camera and, uh, yeah, what to do
[00:55:35] [SPEAKER_03]: what not to do but not really good performance.
[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry Rose.
[00:55:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Oliver Ford Davis's Sio Biblical.
[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, who get the shit?
[00:55:42] [SPEAKER_02]: No.
[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Thumbs down.
[00:55:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And Ron Falk is Dexter Jessica.
[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yes.
[00:55:49] [SPEAKER_03]: David.
[00:55:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Ben.
[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah.
[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I know.
[00:55:53] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a great performance.
[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_03]: We talked about him for 45 minutes.
[00:55:57] [SPEAKER_03]: We couldn't even forget his voice.
[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's the one guy who seems to be doing a like post melting pot galaxy in
[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_03]: which every culture is mashed together.
[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_03]: He seems to have all the, this is the best.
[00:56:08] [SPEAKER_02]: He's, yeah.
[00:56:08] [SPEAKER_03]: This is the best.
[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Is weird.
[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Jay Laga.
[00:56:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Laga.
[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how you say his name.
[00:56:16] [SPEAKER_02]: It's L.A.
[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_02]: G.A.
[00:56:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Poster F.A.
[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_02]: A.A.
[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[00:56:20] [SPEAKER_02]: As Captain Typho.
[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh boy.
[00:56:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm giving him a no.
[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is just such a boring one.
[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Compare the shit to Panaka.
[00:56:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Panaka is killing it compared to this guy.
[00:56:29] [SPEAKER_02]: And not that guy's in charge.
[00:56:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Typho you're like, oh, who's he again?
[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Have I seen him before?
[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And we can play into a lot about Panaka, but I feel like at the end of the day we maybe
[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_03]: gave you a car.
[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_03]: She passed because we felt like he's did good work.
[00:56:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he's a solid steady, clearly skilled smart actor given an underwritten roll.
[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_03]: This is not a good performance.
[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_03]: No hard path.
[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Fum's down.
[00:56:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Andy Seekham is water.
[00:56:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, of course.
[00:56:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Come on.
[00:56:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know what?
[00:56:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that's a different shade a lot of because he's really kind of sad.
[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Like his heart isn't in the game anymore.
[00:57:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's great.
[00:57:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's great.
[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_03]: He might be better.
[00:57:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he is.
[00:57:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's he's playing it last for laughs and we're really seeing like the, you know,
[00:57:09] [SPEAKER_03]: the man playing the curtain.
[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a beautiful.
[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_02]: So you're giving him a thumbs up, Ben.
[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_02]: He's got it.
[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Heart of the Ne Daniels is C3PO.
[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_02]: And.
[00:57:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Donnie Fittoni.
[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yo.
[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_03]: So two secret.
[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Fuckin' invisible actors like in Phantom 2.
[00:57:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And two books like hey, yeah.
[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_02]: You didn't get to be on screen for your big role.
[00:57:28] [SPEAKER_02]: So let's give you a little shot.
[00:57:30] [SPEAKER_02]: These guys were big parts, but you never saw this.
[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_02]: So this is Darny Fittoni.
[00:57:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Fittoni by the way is Ahmed Bex, Sidekick or whatever.
[00:57:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's part get back to that Wikipedia page about the two of that.
[00:57:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Because this sounds like an amazing.
[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, apparently they had a.
[00:57:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's not a backstress and it's a turkishization.
[00:57:47] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what you call naming someone after their own.
[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And Darny Fittoni, of course, is the same as Anthony Daniels.
[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_03]: They flipped it.
[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same thing.
[00:57:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Darny Fittoni is a male human from Corelia,
[00:57:56] [SPEAKER_02]: aspired to serve in their public.
[00:57:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Was cond into fronting a phony spice mine by a change.
[00:58:05] [SPEAKER_02]: On the run from the law with his loaps of working in law enforcement dash,
[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_02]: she decided to make a living as a con artist,
[00:58:10] [SPEAKER_02]: teeming with his inventive friend Ahmed Bex.
[00:58:13] [SPEAKER_02]: They gambled in their cond all the way to Coruscant.
[00:58:16] [SPEAKER_02]: They get arrested.
[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_02]: They escaped.
[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_02]: They set up shop in the Outlander Club.
[00:58:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Sounds like such a fun movie.
[00:58:21] [SPEAKER_02]: There is so much dialogue.
[00:58:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Another fine mess you got us into, Danny.
[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Ahmed Bex.
[00:58:28] [SPEAKER_02]: What's this happening?
[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Is there a whole comment?
[00:58:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Can we scroll down?
[00:58:31] [SPEAKER_03]: It should have like maybe like a legends to have or something like that.
[00:58:35] [SPEAKER_03]: There must be expanded.
[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_02]: It is a web comic called The Clone Wars Departure.
[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's the one.
[00:58:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's at least one of them.
[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:58:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I would love to read that.
[00:58:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to try to find that and I'll have read it for next week's episode.
[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And regards to like the pulp kind of story line.
[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Like those characters would be really interesting to further develop with that story line.
[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know who would like be a great subset of people to focus on in this universe,
[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_03]: this phantom-enous universe?
[00:59:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Petty criminal smugglers.
[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That's like fun.
[00:59:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Like seeing like fucking vagabond.
[00:59:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And so much okay.
[00:59:09] [SPEAKER_02]: So by the way, they eventually tried to con see three p.o and jar jar being.
[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_04]: So I can't know that's a whole thing.
[00:59:17] [SPEAKER_02]: They, they scam a dowager out of her money in the city.
[00:59:20] [SPEAKER_02]: They sell it, but it fails.
[00:59:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And then they're chased away from the Senate and they get in a speeder that they steal
[00:59:26] [SPEAKER_02]: from Patmea, Madalas.
[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_02]: What?
[00:59:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Landing platform.
[00:59:30] [SPEAKER_02]: But then it like, it takes them back to see three p.o and jar jar.
[00:59:34] [SPEAKER_03]: I let it almost sounds like they're like the Rosencrantz and Guilden Strunt.
[00:59:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they're having this incredible journey constantly like interacting with our characters
[00:59:41] [SPEAKER_03]: in the most tangible way.
[00:59:44] [SPEAKER_02]: But meanwhile, like their own lives are pretty full.
[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it's a this whole webcam called the Clone Wars departure.
[00:59:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to hang out with these Scaliwags.
[00:59:52] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got something like a fucking laugh and I have.
[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, anyway, crazy.
[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so we're giving him a plus or a minus.
[00:59:59] [SPEAKER_02]: I see three p.o. he's fired.
[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_02]: He's good.
[01:00:01] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a, I mean, he gets more to do.
[01:00:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[01:00:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's goofy as shit.
[01:00:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Super goofy.
[01:00:07] [SPEAKER_03]: One of the hijinks he has performances at that point.
[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a hijinksy performance.
[01:00:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I got, I mean, I think his line ratings are funny.
[01:00:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Like whatever your feelings are on that being a section of the movie.
[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:00:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I think he's really funny.
[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what have I said?
[01:00:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where they found this guy or like what the point of him is exactly.
[01:00:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:00:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're surprised that they brought the character back.
[01:00:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is surprised.
[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_03]: From the first moon game, this much more to do.
[01:00:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But I think you're starting to get who C3PO is and even there's that little exchange between
[01:00:36] [SPEAKER_03]: C3PO and R2D so where it's like, oh, this could be a fun thing that would be
[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_03]: this could be some sort of thing.
[01:00:40] [SPEAKER_03]: You realize it don't like each other.
[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, because all the robots just seem so like personalityless and it's like,
[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_03]: oh, these two robots have some like strong fucking opinions and they might clash.
[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I give him a heart thumbs up.
[01:00:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I give him a heart thumbs up.
[01:00:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Silas Carson as he had a Monday and vice-rhoid gunray.
[01:01:01] [SPEAKER_02]: We didn't like him last time.
[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, Kevin Mooni remains one of the best looking Jedi.
[01:01:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Cool, looks cool.
[01:01:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Got new gunray is the combination and it describes them.
[01:01:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It gives a thumbs down.
[01:01:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And an embarrassment to all Asians.
[01:01:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And Kai and Monday doesn't even have dialogue in this one.
[01:01:14] [SPEAKER_03]: He does wave his sort around.
[01:01:15] [SPEAKER_03]: He just waves a sort of thumbs down.
[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I should darker as Queen Jamila of Naboo.
[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_03]: She seems like a nice lady.
[01:01:26] [SPEAKER_02]: This is very pretty.
[01:01:27] [SPEAKER_02]: She's an Indian actress.
[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_02]: She's got cool makeup on.
[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_02]: She's not bad.
[01:01:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I like her.
[01:01:36] [SPEAKER_02]: She's she's she's pretty, you know, she works in British TV.
[01:01:38] [SPEAKER_02]: She's in Coronation Street for 54 episodes.
[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Recently, she was in Indian summers, which is a mini series on Channel 4 that my friend
[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_02]: and fan of the show Nick Herschpetell starred in.
[01:01:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, so they're here.
[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Fan of this show?
[01:01:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's fan of this show.
[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_02]: We went to high school together.
[01:01:55] [SPEAKER_02]: We were a couple nerds in high school together now.
[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_02]: He's become an actor.
[01:01:57] [SPEAKER_02]: He's an Indian actor.
[01:02:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's doing great.
[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_02]: He's on Indian summers.
[01:02:02] [SPEAKER_02]: She was on Indian summers.
[01:02:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give her a thumbs up too.
[01:02:06] [SPEAKER_02]: She's pretty good.
[01:02:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Because it's sort of weird because you're like, oh, here's the new Emidala.
[01:02:11] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's kind of a kind of an odd moment where you're seeing this lady with
[01:02:16] [SPEAKER_02]: a, she's got like white makeup and sort of blue.
[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[01:02:20] [SPEAKER_02]: She's wearing some sort of blue sort of flowery head recipe thing.
[01:02:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[01:02:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of cool.
[01:02:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll say the other interesting thing about her is that I have a mouthful of peanuts
[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_03]: right now.
[01:02:30] [SPEAKER_03]: She does.
[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_02]: As I was saying, this he was sort of like turning away in shame, but it was just
[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_02]: easy to eat.
[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going to trim my peanuts on my, I'm a dollar always felt like she was trying
[01:02:41] [SPEAKER_03]: to pass for a grown up.
[01:02:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, like act beyond her years and maturity.
[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I do.
[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that this queen kind of seems like a kid.
[01:02:52] [SPEAKER_03]: She does.
[01:02:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Like a thoughtful kid.
[01:02:54] [SPEAKER_03]: You know?
[01:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, the good sense of morality had our shoulders, but she's like not posturing.
[01:02:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I agree with this.
[01:02:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I agree with this.
[01:03:00] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a little more natural than Naly Port was in the head dress.
[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a good performance.
[01:03:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's buddies with your buddy.
[01:03:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I want to put a friend's stuff.
[01:03:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't know if they're buddies, but they both were gone the same show.
[01:03:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they're enemies.
[01:03:09] [SPEAKER_02]: But still.
[01:03:11] [SPEAKER_02]: But Nick Ash has tweeted at me about this show and about my deep radio voice.
[01:03:16] [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, I don't think he was.
[01:03:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, Joel Edgerton is Owen Lars.
[01:03:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, another actor I love.
[01:03:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we talked about him.
[01:03:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I have loved most of the work he has gone on to do in the last 10 years or so.
[01:03:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
[01:03:32] [SPEAKER_03]: In this performance, he doesn't really register.
[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_02]: He really doesn't.
[01:03:38] [SPEAKER_02]: He's got a great face.
[01:03:39] [SPEAKER_02]: You remember Daddy Lars and that's it.
[01:03:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You don't remember Owen, you don't remember Bavru who is the wife.
[01:03:47] [SPEAKER_02]: But I will say, girlfriend.
[01:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I will say he does have a very, very interesting face.
[01:03:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember seeing him in this.
[01:03:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And then like five or six years later when maybe Kinky Boots came out when he started to appear
[01:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: in other stuff.
[01:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I like immediately recognize him as like, oh, that was like I who left no impression.
[01:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[01:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: He does a big movie that we watched.
[01:04:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:04:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But he does have a certain presence.
[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not good performance.
[01:04:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So after attack of the clones, he's kind of he does he's in Ned Kelly.
[01:04:14] [SPEAKER_02]: He's in Arthur King Arthur as Sir Goaine.
[01:04:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[01:04:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Remember the weird Antoine Fuqua?
[01:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so he's like a couple failed epics and a row.
[01:04:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And then Kinky Boots, Kenase's, he starts to build up I think a little more of a real
[01:04:28] [SPEAKER_02]: career and then you know, he gets big.
[01:04:30] [SPEAKER_02]: He's an animal kingdom.
[01:04:31] [SPEAKER_02]: He's in warrior.
[01:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And I believe he produced animal kingdom.
[01:04:34] [SPEAKER_03]: He might have co-written it as well.
[01:04:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He and his brother, a Nash Egerton, have like a whole like Siric cottage industry in
[01:04:40] [SPEAKER_03]: us.
[01:04:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Sure, his directorial debut was coming out.
[01:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: There's once was a big.
[01:04:43] [SPEAKER_02]: He didn't write David Mishod is the man behind it.
[01:04:46] [SPEAKER_02]: He produced it.
[01:04:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't produce that.
[01:04:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:04:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, thumb stem.
[01:04:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Daniel Logan is Boba Fett.
[01:04:56] [SPEAKER_02]: No, I think he's bad.
[01:04:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
[01:04:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:04:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Thumb stem.
[01:04:59] [SPEAKER_02]: We got it.
[01:04:59] [SPEAKER_02]: We should pick it up.
[01:05:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:05:02] [SPEAKER_03]: My hesitation was that I have a friend who is constantly trying to become a guest
[01:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: on this show and his big poker chip.
[01:05:10] [SPEAKER_03]: He's trying to stop it.
[01:05:11] [SPEAKER_03]: He says my sister dated Daniel Logan and highest glyco-propyl, get you, Daniel
[01:05:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Logan scripts.
[01:05:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I just want to get Daniel Logan on the show.
[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I just want to get anyone who was in attack the clones on the show.
[01:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's say this.
[01:05:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Daniel Logan's better than Jake Lloyd.
[01:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: No question for a kid performance.
[01:05:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:05:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And he picks up the head pretty nicely, but it doesn't really register.
[01:05:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[01:05:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Bonnie PS as Peru.
[01:05:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:05:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean another like she's got a nice face.
[01:05:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Seems like a nice lady is nothing.
[01:05:39] [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't register.
[01:05:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to see if she's done anything else interesting in her life for not really.
[01:05:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Thumb stem.
[01:05:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
[01:05:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Felen is Lama Sue.
[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Voice only.
[01:05:50] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
[01:05:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I like this performance.
[01:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Other Australian actor.
[01:05:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I like this performance.
[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they played a priest in unbroken, an angeline visual leaves unbroken.
[01:06:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
[01:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: He was in an episode of Top of the Lake.
[01:06:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Did 50 episodes of famed Australian soap home in a way?
[01:06:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, whoa.
[01:06:10] [SPEAKER_02]: What?
[01:06:11] [SPEAKER_02]: What's buried down there right at the bottom?
[01:06:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Right at the bottom.
[01:06:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Security guard in Bay Pig and the City.
[01:06:18] [SPEAKER_02]: What?
[01:06:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Another Australian film.
[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:06:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I love this guy.
[01:06:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I can't understand that.
[01:06:24] [SPEAKER_02]: All right thumbs up.
[01:06:25] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I could.
[01:06:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Good job.
[01:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I've got great voice, mostly delivering exposition.
[01:06:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm really interesting rhythm.
[01:06:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I like it.
[01:06:31] [SPEAKER_02]: And how do you feel about Reno Owen as Lama Sue?
[01:06:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it, too.
[01:06:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I like these uh come on.
[01:06:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Commonians.
[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh yeah.
[01:06:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Caminoins.
[01:06:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I might be a little swayed by I like their design so much and I think they're
[01:06:44] [SPEAKER_02]: New Zealand actors.
[01:06:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I think they're the one example of C.J. effects on me that totally hold up.
[01:06:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I think especially in close-ups they look really great.
[01:06:51] [SPEAKER_03]: They hold up the backgrounds down there.
[01:06:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It looks terrible.
[01:06:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the acting work on those characters is really strong and subtle and I think
[01:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: the detail work on the actual models is really, really good.
[01:07:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Reno Owen also in once were warriors.
[01:07:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I believe she's the female lead of once were warriors.
[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_02]: She's great.
[01:07:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Retained a two more years.
[01:07:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Here's something I want to tell you.
[01:07:12] [SPEAKER_02]: She is one of six actors in the world to do have worked with both George Lucas and Steven
[01:07:17] Spielberg.
[01:07:19] [SPEAKER_02]: What was she in AI?
[01:07:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Playing?
[01:07:21] [SPEAKER_02]: It's fine, don't.
[01:07:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I watched AI like a week ago.
[01:07:24] [SPEAKER_02]: One of my favorite movies ever made.
[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Great movie.
[01:07:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Seriously the best.
[01:07:28] [SPEAKER_02]: She plays a ticket taker.
[01:07:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'll walk you.
[01:07:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's call for her then.
[01:07:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, didn't that didn't blow you more.
[01:07:34] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's called for him.
[01:07:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Next performance.
[01:07:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I would like to know who the other five are there.
[01:07:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd have to think about that.
[01:07:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Harrison Ford.
[01:07:41] [SPEAKER_02]: No, yeah, he's an American graffiti.
[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, he's American graffiti and he's in the Indiana Jones films.
[01:07:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I pulled myself out of that deal, Spib.
[01:07:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway.
[01:07:49] [SPEAKER_02]: A real indie style.
[01:07:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Alifim McGrath in as my name, Joe Costanue.
[01:07:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Alifim McGrath.
[01:07:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, okay, so this is tough.
[01:08:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I think she's good.
[01:08:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think she's great if we assume she's playing what we have put on this character.
[01:08:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right, but she's playing a desperate, desperate attempt to keep secret the fact
[01:08:13] [SPEAKER_02]: that she hadn't affair with can't do good.
[01:08:15] [SPEAKER_03]: The she has a real protective of him in his information because she thinks what they had
[01:08:19] [SPEAKER_03]: was love and for for him.
[01:08:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It was huge as another side piece, you know?
[01:08:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that's an interesting performance that she's playing there.
[01:08:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, you could say that maybe he's kind of annoying.
[01:08:31] [SPEAKER_02]: She's smart.
[01:08:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's give her a thumbs up.
[01:08:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait a second, how many thumbs up do we have?
[01:08:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So far, we are at 12 thumbs up in 14 thumbs down.
[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's give her a thumbs down.
[01:08:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
[01:08:41] [SPEAKER_00]: How do we go?
[01:08:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought we were being so negative this one.
[01:08:44] [SPEAKER_03]: We both have the comedones thumbs up.
[01:08:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, those are thumbs up.
[01:08:49] [SPEAKER_03]: We should have been saving up for those.
[01:08:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited for this one.
[01:08:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Suzy Porter as W.A. 7.
[01:08:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know who W.A. 7 is?
[01:08:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Flow.
[01:08:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[01:09:00] [SPEAKER_02]: There she is.
[01:09:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The waitress from Dexter's thingy.
[01:09:04] [SPEAKER_02]: His right.
[01:09:05] [SPEAKER_02]: What's there to discuss?
[01:09:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a thumbs up.
[01:09:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's not a Mac Thumbs up.
[01:09:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a thumbs up in two Dix-Up.
[01:09:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm Rock is a board.
[01:09:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Rock is a board.
[01:09:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Rock is a board.
[01:09:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Lord Man.
[01:09:15] [SPEAKER_02]: She also played a character called Hermione Bagua who in this movie.
[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_02]: In this movie, who is another waitress at Dexter's.
[01:09:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, the human waitress in the background.
[01:09:27] [SPEAKER_02]: So she's both characters.
[01:09:28] [SPEAKER_02]: So she's playing all the waitresses.
[01:09:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So let's give her two thumbs up.
[01:09:31] [SPEAKER_02]: One thumb up is enough for a grand total of four thumbs.
[01:09:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, then we have two Dix.
[01:09:36] [SPEAKER_02]: And we have Matt Doran as Elon's least bag and no.
[01:09:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I mean.
[01:09:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Another Australian actor, best known for another film is Performance in Another
[01:09:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Film, also shot and Sidney.
[01:09:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Mouse and the Matrix.
[01:09:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I love this guy.
[01:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I always think about wonder what happened to him.
[01:09:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he needs such a big impression on me.
[01:09:57] [SPEAKER_02]: He seems to mostly make Australian things.
[01:10:00] [SPEAKER_02]: He's not done much.
[01:10:01] [SPEAKER_02]: He's in a lot of shorts these days.
[01:10:02] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not, you know?
[01:10:03] [SPEAKER_02]: It kind of fell off.
[01:10:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, dude, fuck it kills it in this.
[01:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd say it's probably my favorite supporting performance of 2002.
[01:10:09] [SPEAKER_02]: He's so bizarre, but okay.
[01:10:11] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not.
[01:10:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
[01:10:12] [SPEAKER_03]: No one asked her.
[01:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got fucking razor sharp comic timing.
[01:10:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You see, an entire arc of a man having to question all his life choices up until they
[01:10:19] [SPEAKER_03]: he's got 40 seconds to see a man reassessing everything he's ever done ever been.
[01:10:24] [SPEAKER_03]: He's a sleaze bag in no David.
[01:10:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He never had a chance.
[01:10:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he gets a thumbs up.
[01:10:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's move on.
[01:10:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I want you to light me on that one.
[01:10:31] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[01:10:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, whatever.
[01:10:32] [SPEAKER_02]: He's all right.
[01:10:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
[01:10:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Mouse is great.
[01:10:35] [SPEAKER_02]: The chicken, it tastes like chicken monologue in the Matrix.
[01:10:42] [SPEAKER_02]: He's cool.
[01:10:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And so we're winding down.
[01:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I just want to let you gentlemen know we're at 14 thumbs up.
[01:10:48] [SPEAKER_00]: 15 thumbs down.
[01:10:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh boy, okay.
[01:10:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Alan Rusco is locked up.
[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Down.
[01:10:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[01:10:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Matt Sloan is blue, clown.
[01:10:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Down.
[01:10:59] [SPEAKER_03]: You pointed out because he thought he was going to do it.
[01:11:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Dude, you do this.
[01:11:01] [SPEAKER_03]: No, because I was like.
[01:11:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the bug face.
[01:11:03] [SPEAKER_03]: My counter point was going to be David.
[01:11:04] [SPEAKER_03]: He has a cockroach face and then I remember that has nothing to do with performance.
[01:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to give the actor credit for wearing a mask with the face of a cockroach.
[01:11:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Veronica Siggara is Corday.
[01:11:15] [SPEAKER_03]: She's one who dies up again.
[01:11:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:11:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, god.
[01:11:17] [SPEAKER_02]: No, I really give her it down.
[01:11:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I think she's bad.
[01:11:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I feel a little mean though.
[01:11:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to give her thumbs up and have been to a typewriter.
[01:11:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's okay.
[01:11:27] [SPEAKER_02]: She can have a thumbs up.
[01:11:28] [SPEAKER_03]: She's all right.
[01:11:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Ben Corday, the one who dies at the beginning.
[01:11:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And don't judge her as a hand maiden because she obviously fails on that trend.
[01:11:34] [SPEAKER_03]: She goes, I'm so sorry I've let you down.
[01:11:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[01:11:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Thumbs up.
[01:11:39] [SPEAKER_00]: No.
[01:11:39] [SPEAKER_00]: All right, thumbs up.
[01:11:40] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like a little bit of a thumbs up.
[01:11:41] [SPEAKER_02]: David Bowers is Massameda.
[01:11:44] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the blue guy who's like this sort of, oh man.
[01:11:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
[01:11:47] [SPEAKER_03]: The dick dreadlocks on the size of his face.
[01:11:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, thumbs down.
[01:11:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Major thumbs down.
[01:11:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Major thumbs down.
[01:11:53] [SPEAKER_02]: All right now, I'm not going to go after any characters who are not names like, you
[01:11:56] [SPEAKER_02]: know, Naboo, Lieutenant or whatever.
[01:11:58] [SPEAKER_02]: No, absolutely.
[01:11:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Keep scrolling.
[01:12:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Zachariah, Jensen is Kipfisto.
[01:12:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I got a look so cool.
[01:12:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's got that moment where he smiles and gives me a thumbs up.
[01:12:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's give him a thumbs up.
[01:12:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm retired now.
[01:12:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what about this?
[01:12:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Ow.
[01:12:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[01:12:17] [SPEAKER_00]: So you're at now 14 thumbs up and 20 thumbs down.
[01:12:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're almost over.
[01:12:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Alex Noel is JK Portola.
[01:12:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know who that is?
[01:12:30] [SPEAKER_02]: No.
[01:12:30] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the four-year-old initiate who knows where the fucking system is.
[01:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes.
[01:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: You're giving me a thumbs up.
[01:12:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, kids great.
[01:12:36] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[01:12:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's see how the goods.
[01:12:37] [SPEAKER_02]: What's he been up to, sense in?
[01:12:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Alex Noel, what's he been up to?
[01:12:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's see.
[01:12:42] [SPEAKER_02]: He's not in any other films ever made.
[01:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, well, one in done sometimes.
[01:12:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Phoebe, yummy, cutty is Mary, emathes, another of the initiates, a four-year-old human
[01:12:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Jedi initiates.
[01:12:57] [SPEAKER_02]: She's a little Asian girl.
[01:12:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember her in this film at all.
[01:13:00] [SPEAKER_02]: She sounds cute.
[01:13:01] [SPEAKER_02]: She's very cute.
[01:13:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's adorable.
[01:13:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And finally, Kenny Baker is our 2D2.
[01:13:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, once again, how are we even rank this right now?
[01:13:12] [SPEAKER_03]: He's the last gradited performer.
[01:13:14] [SPEAKER_03]: What do you do?
[01:13:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how much of that was CGI.
[01:13:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, he was in there.
[01:13:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he's in there.
[01:13:19] [SPEAKER_02]: What is he alive?
[01:13:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he can fire.
[01:13:23] [SPEAKER_02]: You can fire.
[01:13:23] [SPEAKER_02]: He's telling me.
[01:13:24] [SPEAKER_02]: He can fire.
[01:13:27] [SPEAKER_02]: How do you fucking?
[01:13:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Even there, he's in there.
[01:13:29] [SPEAKER_02]: We know him.
[01:13:30] [SPEAKER_02]: We know him.
[01:13:30] [SPEAKER_02]: We know him.
[01:13:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I say it's another, I say, well, we gave him a two-closed call last time.
[01:13:35] [SPEAKER_03]: What do we do?
[01:13:36] [SPEAKER_03]: We ranked him neither good nor bad.
[01:13:38] [SPEAKER_03]: He was the one.
[01:13:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he gets a question mark.
[01:13:40] [SPEAKER_03]: He gets a question mark.
[01:13:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to point out that Liam Mason is uncrended as Quigon-Gin archive sound.
[01:13:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Is there even an archive sound?
[01:13:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that something that Yoda hears maybe?
[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I forget what the moment was.
[01:13:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I looked this up.
[01:13:52] [SPEAKER_03]: There's some scene where you can hear Quigon's echo underneath another piece of dialogue.
[01:13:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, okay.
[01:13:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the very vague anyway.
[01:14:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I give him a thumbs down.
[01:14:02] [SPEAKER_03]: He shouldn't have.
[01:14:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I should have looked at his contract and made sure that they weren't allowed to fucking reuse
[01:14:07] [SPEAKER_03]: his dialogue in other movies.
[01:14:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so what's our final tally?
[01:14:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[01:14:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So, final tally is 15 thumbs up.
[01:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[01:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: 20 thumbs down and one question mark for any big.
[01:14:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm more comfortable with that.
[01:14:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I still think we gave too many thumbs up.
[01:14:26] [SPEAKER_03]: So who do we give thumbs up?
[01:14:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Kifisto, all over the child Jedi.
[01:14:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Both communians.
[01:14:35] [SPEAKER_03]: You and McGregor.
[01:14:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Christian Lee Daniels.
[01:14:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's in the different.
[01:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And he does as the bar patron.
[01:14:43] [SPEAKER_02]: We gave thumbs up to the whole cast of Dex's Diner.
[01:14:49] [SPEAKER_02]: So, thank you, Mark.
[01:14:51] [SPEAKER_02]: So good.
[01:14:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I loved it when he told me.
[01:14:53] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a nice guy.
[01:14:54] [SPEAKER_00]: He also gave Jack Chomson underrated performance.
[01:14:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man, I forgot we gave him that word.
[01:15:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's a great way to possibly vote like guards.
[01:15:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, okay.
[01:15:05] [SPEAKER_03]: So most improved.
[01:15:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to a couple of other superlatives.
[01:15:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Most improved as you and McGregor.
[01:15:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Jack Thompson wins underrated.
[01:15:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd say, it's extra Jetsor's MVP.
[01:15:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all right.
[01:15:18] [SPEAKER_02]: He's the most memorable.
[01:15:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you're so you're saying he's an MP?
[01:15:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm so upset.
[01:15:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm so upset.
[01:15:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Hot and tired.
[01:15:26] [SPEAKER_02]: We're so in here.
[01:15:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You have to be on MP in the yard tomorrow.
[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_02]: You took a joke theft.
[01:15:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God.
[01:15:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway.
[01:15:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
[01:15:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Jack's a gesture.
[01:15:35] [SPEAKER_02]: He wins.
[01:15:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Can we do a sunshine episode?
[01:15:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to.
[01:15:39] [SPEAKER_02]: What do we get to do next week?
[01:15:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember this movie.
[01:15:42] [SPEAKER_02]: What happens in the time of the club?
[01:15:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We got to get Gaston again next week.
[01:15:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
[01:15:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:15:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And we'll, well, we'll reassess things in the movie.
[01:15:49] [SPEAKER_03]: We haven't talked about yet.
[01:15:50] [SPEAKER_03]: What are we going to do?
[01:15:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we should do a commentary episode.
[01:15:53] [SPEAKER_03]: We will do a commentary episode.
[01:15:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And we'll do our commentary as well.
[01:15:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[01:15:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the commentary episode, we're going to do a bonus movie.
[01:16:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It'll be the extra.
[01:16:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's great.
[01:16:02] [SPEAKER_03]: D.V.D. because of some of those deleted scenes I want to watch that laying was talking
[01:16:06] [SPEAKER_03]: about in our romance episode.
[01:16:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, boy.
[01:16:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to watch some more documentaries about the casting of Hayden Christensen.
[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_03]: We'll do that.
[01:16:15] [SPEAKER_03]: We will do.
[01:16:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we might do one on the actual filmmaking.
[01:16:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're really obsessed with that.
[01:16:20] [SPEAKER_02]: That's the first interview.
[01:16:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a snooze there.
[01:16:22] [SPEAKER_03]: It's about, I think we can get the right guest.
[01:16:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we can get a good guest for that.
[01:16:26] [SPEAKER_03]: So I think I know who you should get for that.
[01:16:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:16:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:16:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:16:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So we can just read a graphic.
[01:16:31] [SPEAKER_02]: We're telepathic right now.
[01:16:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And we can always do a fan fiction episode.
[01:16:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I would love to.
[01:16:36] [SPEAKER_02]: If you want to dig up some fan fiction in advance that's cool or we like I did last time.
[01:16:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Then if you want me to do the same thing, I did last time.
[01:16:47] [SPEAKER_02]: You remember the first fan fiction you tried to read, which was just like it was so poor.
[01:16:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I am a fast reader.
[01:16:53] [SPEAKER_03]: In my head, everything takes 35 seconds.
[01:16:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I read fucking you, Lissies and I'm minutes reading out loud.
[01:17:01] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like a fucking snail's pace.
[01:17:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know it was going to take that long roll off the tongue.
[01:17:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Who's another director you've auditioned for who gave you weird advice?
[01:17:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, I mean, this is weird but good advice.
[01:17:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I think Joel Schumacher's best movie is Tiger One.
[01:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I like foam booth.
[01:17:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Really?
[01:17:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen foam booth.
[01:17:18] [SPEAKER_02]: You what?
[01:17:19] [SPEAKER_02]: You should see it.
[01:17:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It's weird.
[01:17:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I had a really big paper that month.
[01:17:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember distinctly I had a really big English paper that month and I just was like no movies this month.
[01:17:25] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, this is a weird, you know what the client's pretty good.
[01:17:29] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the last boy is just pretty good.
[01:17:30] [SPEAKER_02]: So you loved Joel Schumacher?
[01:17:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, but then he also made like half a dozen of like the words.
[01:17:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:17:38] [SPEAKER_03]: We're, we're director advice that I liked.
[01:17:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was good but it was like a weird note that I'd never heard before.
[01:17:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Go for it.
[01:17:44] [SPEAKER_03]: In addition, Edgar Wright told me that he finds not blinking funny.
[01:17:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure she was like if it's too hard.
[01:17:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry about it.
[01:17:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you see it, man?
[01:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:17:52] [SPEAKER_02]: What do you think?
[01:17:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I liked it.
[01:17:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was really soft.
[01:17:54] [SPEAKER_02]: I think I remember it was great.
[01:17:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I do wonder what Edgar Wright would have what it would have been like.
[01:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I do too.
[01:17:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we only can judge it as the film that was.
[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I totally agree.
[01:18:00] [SPEAKER_02]: But I think I neglected the hell out of it.
[01:18:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I did too.
[01:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: But Edgar Wright told me he was like if you can't do it, it's hard.
[01:18:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I just, yeah, I understand.
[01:18:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I just like to test people this way.
[01:18:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Was he, what was his cop-held?
[01:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: What were you?
[01:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Scop-held.
[01:18:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what are you going to do?
[01:18:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I was very close to playing young Neil and that movie.
[01:18:18] [SPEAKER_02]: You would have been a great young Neil.
[01:18:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I just-
[01:18:21] [SPEAKER_02]: But you know whoever it is is good.
[01:18:22] [SPEAKER_02]: He's very good.
[01:18:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Johnny Simmons.
[01:18:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Johnny Simmons, he's very funny.
[01:18:26] [SPEAKER_03]: He's very funny.
[01:18:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I was number two.
[01:18:28] [SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy.
[01:18:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, what if you were young Neil?
[01:18:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Johnny Simmons had another movie and it was a thing where they were trying to work
[01:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: out the scheduling.
[01:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like for three months.
[01:18:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I had like dropped out of college six months earlier and was like, I'm going
[01:18:38] [SPEAKER_03]: to be a movie star.
[01:18:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And then suddenly this thing happened and they were like, if this kid can't work out
[01:18:43] [SPEAKER_03]: a schedule, you are in Scott Pelis.
[01:18:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That was like a long shoot, right?
[01:18:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[01:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a great director's commentary.
[01:18:49] [SPEAKER_02]: There are two commentaries on that.
[01:18:52] [SPEAKER_02]: One is Egorite, Michael Sarah and Brian Leomallion.
[01:18:56] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a pretty fun but straightforward.
[01:18:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And then one is like the supporting cast and what's her name?
[01:19:02] [SPEAKER_02]: What's the lady's apartment?
[01:19:03] [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, what's the apartment?
[01:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll be close.
[01:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: All we're gonna do is hung over.
[01:19:07] [SPEAKER_02]: They're doing it after the premiere, I think.
[01:19:09] [SPEAKER_02]: And she is so mean and grouchy.
[01:19:12] [SPEAKER_02]: And then she gets in a fucking fight with Anna Kendrick who is like her sort of
[01:19:16] [SPEAKER_02]: her pee cell.
[01:19:19] [SPEAKER_02]: About feeling uncomfortable about the sexy ladies that come with the Indian guys
[01:19:24] [SPEAKER_02]: and not dance, where Anna Kendrick's like, I think they look great.
[01:19:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And then it is tense for the rest.
[01:19:29] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a great commentary.
[01:19:30] [SPEAKER_02]: You should listen to that.
[01:19:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It's great.
[01:19:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, it sounds like that scene took forever to shoot.
[01:19:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[01:19:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think it was a long shoot.
[01:19:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because I was very aware of the entire time it was shooting
[01:19:42] [SPEAKER_03]: that I was not in it.
[01:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Chris Evans is great in that too.
[01:19:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone's great in that way.
[01:19:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I was sort of like the backup option to shoot.
[01:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to drop out for like months.
[01:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: They kept on being like, yeah, maybe.
[01:19:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And I got such a different for him.
[01:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: He complimented me on my ability to not blink that much and he told me he was like,
[01:20:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, young meal that is kind of because he is kind of like this weird zombie.
[01:20:05] [SPEAKER_02]: That was the one I liked.
[01:20:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I worked on this in my performance because I'm a very become book fan.
[01:20:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I was working at a comic store at the time that I was auditioning.
[01:20:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I really wanted to quit my job and was like, oh, if I'm a movie star,
[01:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I can quit my job.
[01:20:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So I just every day at work with like when no was paying attention,
[01:20:18] [SPEAKER_03]: just look through the books and like study the frames and try to figure out how to replicate
[01:20:21] [SPEAKER_03]: the physical posture because so much of that character was like silent responsive.
[01:20:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I got really good to keep my eyes open really wide and he was like,
[01:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: If you could try to not blink at all, that'd be great.
[01:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And he told me it was on Sean of the Dead.
[01:20:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Some of the zombies would blink and he was like, I don't want zombies blinking.
[01:20:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So he digitally removed them.
[01:20:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And it worked so well.
[01:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: He was like, oh, it's so much funnier when people don't blink than other movies
[01:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: since then he sometimes takes out blinks when he thinks it'd be funnier.
[01:20:48] [SPEAKER_03]: He tells all actors like, if you could not blink that'd be great.
[01:20:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But he does like, I took out a lot of like Nick Frost blinks and like hot fuzz
[01:20:55] [SPEAKER_03]: because once I got in the editing room, I was like, man, a lack of blink there.
[01:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It killed it.
[01:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: What do you think the worst Edgar Wright movie is?
[01:21:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's tough buzz.
[01:21:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I do too.
[01:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's, I mean, do you know what I think the best one is though?
[01:21:06] [SPEAKER_03]: World's in?
[01:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's starting to grow on me.
[01:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I watched it for the third time recently.
[01:21:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And I liked the least of it.
[01:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: The first time I watched it.
[01:21:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It gets better every time for me.
[01:21:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It's actually a fantastic movie.
[01:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I tell one night story to like put it in on this thing and it should be positive because
[01:21:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like remembering a nice thing that happened in my life.
[01:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, allow it.
[01:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So I was like obsessed with this god-pilagam bro.
[01:21:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I'm fucking obsessed with this.
[01:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Obsessed.
[01:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And I would like treat them the way that like kids treat Harry Potter when new and came out.
[01:21:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I would like run home and read it.
[01:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But at like first thing I want like before anyone ruined anything about you know,
[01:21:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like deep deep in a comics at the time.
[01:21:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And then yeah, when the movie was being cast the last two or three books still hadn't come out.
[01:21:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I believe that's right.
[01:21:45] [SPEAKER_02]: When the movie came out, the last book hadn't come out.
[01:21:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Right. So I had already gotten really into it.
[01:21:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And the movie is kind of based on the first three books and then the rest is not enough.
[01:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'll tell you when I scoop scoop scoop scoop.
[01:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: But when I auditioned, the whole last act of the film was entirely different because they still hadn't like
[01:22:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Brian Lee on my way ahead and figured out yet.
[01:22:06] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a lot of like, yeah, a community came to figure out how to make both things and
[01:22:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Invakely the same place.
[01:22:12] [SPEAKER_03]: But loved the books.
[01:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: So like, the final book I think comes out maybe a month before the movie comes out.
[01:22:18] [SPEAKER_03]: So at this point it's been like two years since I first auditioned six months on the bench
[01:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: waiting to hear if I got the part didn't get it was right.
[01:22:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Press about for a while was tracking the whole thing.
[01:22:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Went and I snook into a screening and saw it early when they were like people
[01:22:30] [SPEAKER_03]: handing out flyers on the street test screens.
[01:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It loved it.
[01:22:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So I hate that I'm not in this.
[01:22:35] [SPEAKER_03]: It's always great whatever it is.
[01:22:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And I go to a near Comic-Con with my buddies and he's doing a signing there.
[01:22:42] [SPEAKER_03]: The book has just come out and I step up to get my book sign from him.
[01:22:45] [SPEAKER_03]: He looks up at me and says, have we met before?
[01:22:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And I said, now and he went, are you sure you look like really familiar?
[01:22:52] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, no, and he's like, we definitely like didn't meet like a con or something.
[01:22:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
[01:22:56] [SPEAKER_02]: So he's pressing it.
[01:22:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, I mean, I don't think this would like.
[01:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: But I was like kind of close to getting cast as young me on music.
[01:23:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
[01:23:05] [SPEAKER_02]: That's you.
[01:23:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like really?
[01:23:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, yeah, yeah, because I remember your tape distinctly, you look exactly like the real life friend I based the guy on.
[01:23:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And I like really liked that idea of you playing it because you were just I guess.
[01:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
[01:23:18] [SPEAKER_03]: He had the energy, like you were totally not even playing young me on the books that you're playing the real guy.
[01:23:22] [SPEAKER_03]: And he like signed my book and he drew young me on it and he said, like nice me on you.
[01:23:28] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like really nice.
[01:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It was nice to like two years later be like, oh, you know, this fucking industry.
[01:23:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes people say like, no, you never know if that was obviously not him bullshiting you.
[01:23:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Because he wanted to be like, I forget it.
[01:23:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was like, no.
[01:23:42] [SPEAKER_03]: It emotionally affected me.
[01:23:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was really sweet to watch someone and then it had the effect of like you were playing the guy.
[01:23:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Give him a little pat.
[01:23:48] [SPEAKER_02]: This episode might be our longest ever episode.
[01:23:50] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not true.
[01:23:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the commentary is on what cuts himself out.
[01:23:53] [SPEAKER_03]: No, we won't.
[01:23:53] [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, add stuff in.
[01:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: That's stuff.
[01:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you can add stuff in.
[01:23:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you can cut in like more of the erotic fan fiction.
[01:24:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I could do that.
[01:24:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yeah, yeah, I could do that.
[01:24:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Some Michael Jackson music would love.
[01:24:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Can you end this episode with Don't Satti yet enough?
[01:24:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, play it six times or in a little bit.
[01:24:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Just back to back to back.
[01:24:15] [SPEAKER_02]: And if they see us tell them they can take all their complaints right to the UCB right to the top.
[01:24:20] [SPEAKER_02]: So my boss.
[01:24:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right to the big floor.
[01:24:23] [SPEAKER_02]: To the big floor.
[01:24:23] [SPEAKER_02]: To the big floor.
[01:24:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Toma knock on Amy Polars door.
[01:24:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[01:24:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, can Amy Polars be a guest on this show?
[01:24:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Definitely.
[01:24:31] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll get her on next week.
[01:24:31] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll email her.
[01:24:32] [SPEAKER_01]: See if she's interested.
[01:24:33] [SPEAKER_01]: What does she aim you see be dot com or something like that?
[01:24:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It's actually Amy dot Polars.
[01:24:39] [SPEAKER_02]: She's a man.
[01:24:41] [SPEAKER_02]: That is RIP Harris.
[01:24:42] [SPEAKER_02]: What else is one of my favorite tweets of his which is just like like here's a little scoop.
[01:24:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Everyone.
[01:24:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Like their email addresses just their name at Gmail.
[01:24:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Like any time I ever got an acting child where I'm like a tiny part in a thing with big ass actors.
[01:24:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And there's a massive email.
[01:24:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, oh literally everyone's email is like Tom's not cruise at Gmail.
[01:25:01] [SPEAKER_03]: But everyone.
[01:25:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You could guess any celebrities email.
[01:25:07] [SPEAKER_02]: No way they don't reply to you.
[01:25:08] [SPEAKER_02]: That's another story.
[01:25:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're busy.
[01:25:10] [SPEAKER_02]: They're very busy people.
[01:25:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Chris, I'm happy so much as always.
[01:25:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, of course.
[01:25:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, gentlemen.
[01:25:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, final.
[01:25:16] [SPEAKER_03]: This has been a very angry one but I think we worked with some of our issues.
[01:25:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel less stressed out than I did walking through.
[01:25:22] [SPEAKER_03]: This is the best episode that's ever recorded in any of your videos.
[01:25:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's going to have to revise their list.
[01:25:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And as always, don't stop until you get enough.
